FIRE Lawrence Frank

Post#1 » by Han Solo » Sat Nov 10, 2012 2:30 am

Knight
English
Singler
Monroe
Drummond

Should be our starting 5

Prince and Maxiell should be 12 minutes a game bench guys, Stuckey and JJ should be the 6th and 7th options with 20 minutes a game.

Frank is garbage.

Hope Gores enjoys the 800 fans a game at the palace. No one wants to watch Maxiell and Prince lead us to a 0-17 start to the season.

Start the youth movement now. **** you Frank (and Joe). The two reasons we will eventually be the Seattle Pistons.

Signed Pistons fan from 1977.

If Drummond doesnt start after tonight, this wont be the only place you hear this. Were 0-6. Singler looks like twice the player Prince is too.

Stuckey would be better as a 6th man. Not sure English is the answer to start at the two, but he is the shooter we need right now to help Knight's assists.

Frank has annoyed me quite a bit with his horrible rotations but It's gonna take something drastic for us to fire him. I think he will be around for a long time. I still think Frank can be a good coach if he gets his rotation together. He just seems to be really stubborn.

Frank has probably done some good things but for the second straight season we looked like we hurt ourselves more than the opposing teams. His lineups may have cost us the game, pointlessly subbing out hot players for guys who were struggling and taking too long to correct it. Like with Bynum being clearly tired, slow, and turnover prone and Knight energetic and playing well when we are going for a comeback.

i was actually a Frank believer last year. i felt he was a decent enough coach that would be able to turn lackluster talent into a bottom tier playoff team if given the chance. but this year it looks like he has no idea what he is doing. i still think he is a better coach than he is showing but you cant argue with the past few years stats of his teams start to the season

Did you guys ever contemplate that, after going through coaches nonstop, MAYBE it's not just the coaching that's the problem? Half of this team should be in the D league.

:noway: Please stop with this "Singler starting" nonsense...He won't ever start in a Piston uniform and he isn't a starting caliber player...I'm not even going to entertain your idea about English...

On another note, Frank played horrible rotations tonight....I believe that's the main reason we lost this game...We need to give Larry Brown a call...

Frank isn't the greatest coach in the world, but he's a solid coach. Not one to get you to the promise land but someone to get you on the right track.Plus he's a hell of alot better then the last two coaches the Pistons have had.

The main problem is the players.Their needs to be a full on rebuild and youth movement.Guys like Prince,Maxiell,CV and even Stucky should all be gone. The only keepers are Monroe whom could be in time a 20 and 10 guy,Knight,Jerebko and the three new rookies.

Even as a die hard Wolves/Lakers fan its really said to see what has happen over the last five or so years to the Pistons.Your team is going to really have to hit rock bottom before turning things around.

Pistons are basically at rock bottom right now.
We got our future franchise guy in Monroe. We have high potential guys like Knight and Drummond. We do have some solid young guys in jonas, Stuckey, Singler and English. We just need to let them develop and get rid of the vets.
It's going to take time before we're relevant. but unless you luck out on a rose/durant/lebron type draft pick it always takes time.

As long as Frank is playing Drummond/Monroe big minutes together from now on, I'm willing to give him more time. Not just for Drummonds development, but mostly because I think the two of them together give us the best chance to win games. And if the coach isn;t going to play the guys who give us the best chance to win, then he should'nt be here. But if he does, then I can give him a pass for now in the win/loss department, considering its a young team.

we finally saw now that drummond and monroe can play well together, so if he continues to hold drummond out on one or two bad plays and his rotation continues to be completely ridiculous then im all for this, but we arent the lakers, we dont need to fire a coach on an 0-6 start with a ridiculously young team and a tough, tough schedule.
I wonder what will happen when maggette comes back, will he be behind singler in the rotation? he isnt the worst player, and could actually help but his game is very similar to stuckeys, in the way he has a poor jumper but is good at going to the rim. i wonder how frank will add his minutes in, if at all considering i think he is most likely gone as an expiring contract at the end of the year.

Same people that want to fire frank

Wanted to fire Rick Carlisle as he won coach of the yr.

Wanted to fire Larry Brown because he has no basketball knowledge or coaching abilty.

I get it...

When things go wrong its not the players fault because Joe D drafts 3 HoFers every yr. It has to be the coaches fault.

Maybe if you didnt think English was a 20ppg player and Drummond was was better than Lanier then maybe just maybe you wouldnt think its the coaches fault and maybe just maybe you could learn realistic expectations.

Ah nevermind Im on RealGM the only Pistons forum that believes the Pistons have more talent than the Lakers and Celtics combined and that its rookies are the 5 best players in the NBA.

Frank did a good job leveling out the mess last year with a rookie point guard, little training camp, less practice time, and following a disastrous regime.

I don't understand the rotations this year. From here they make no sense. But I'd give them time. These might be necessary evils to be able to keep certain guys playing enough minutes to either figure out their long term fit or increase trade value.

If we're seeing the same players, rotations, and losing a ton post All Star break...Dumars and everyone under him (including Frank) will likely be on the hot seat. Let it play out.
