Wiz vs Indy Game Thread 11/10/12 SAT 7PM

Post#1 » by hands11 » Sat Nov 10, 2012 10:49 pm

Wiz 0-4 vs Indy 2-4

Both teams on the second game of a back to back. The WIz are on a 4 game losing streak. Indy is on a 3 game losing streak.

AJ Price returns to his old team and tries to rally his team around that focus.

Star forward Danny Granger out for the next three months because of an issue with his left knee.

http://espn.go.com/nba/preview?id=400277802

"Our margin for error is very small," coach Frank Vogel said. "We've got young and inexperienced players in there at crunch time. We dropped a couple of games because of it. That's what we're trying to overcome without Danny Granger."

Now we just have to see if Beal escapes some any kind of stupid ruling from the league after his ejection last night. I would guess he is available but I wouldn't put anything by the league.

If Beal is available, this is a winnable game.

Washington Winless vs Indiana Pacers 11/10

Post#2 » by Chocolate City Jordanaire » Sat Nov 10, 2012 10:52 pm

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/wizards-pa ... --nba.html

One of two winless teams remaining in the NBA, the Wizards will try to capitalize on the struggling Indiana Pacers on Saturday night.

Washington (0-4) started 2011-12 with eight straight losses, and eventually fired coach Flip Saunders with an NBA-worst 2-15 record.

So far, the Wizards aren't showing many signs that this season will be any better They rank near the bottom of the league in scoring (88.8), shooting percentage (40.8) and 3-point percentage and are averaging 17.0 turnovers per game.

Somebody wake me up when Ernie Grunfeld is fired, or when Ted the Enabler sells the team.

Can't believe I'm starting a game thread. :(

Good that hands beat me by 3 minutes. I think I've started just one game thread in 11 years.

Indiana enters Saturday's contest with a 2-4 record, but have dropped three straight games after starting the season 2-1. Indiana's strength so far this year has been rebounding, as the Pacers average 48.5 rebounds per game -- third in the league.

On the good side, if the theory that Coach Wittman likes to evaluate things on a 5 game basis, maybe this is the last game we will see the same lineup combination starting.

If Beal is available, this is a winnable game.

Especially for a team like the Wizards, with "veteran leadership" and a "serious, businesslike atmosphere in the locker room."

I don't see how we can lose.

(Unless, you know, the fact that their players are much better than ours has some influence over the outcome.)

I'm throwing caution to the wind; I'm not going to get hung up in the past, live in a dream, etc.

I predict we win tonight 103-94.

Why do we keep on giving it to our bigs on their off-hand? Every time Booker has gotten the ball in the post, it's been on the left block, and he's had to use his off-hand every time.

Nice aggressive fastbreak drive by Beal.

His confidence is sky-high right now and you can see it clearly.

I've loved what I've seen from Beal tonight. Heady passes, good defense and being aggressive on offense.

We are not a team that can handle a Dolonte West, namely his personality

come on...we can afford one knucklehead...with all the veterans we have
how come we just can't end the quarter without giving up a run? has to be a mental lapse

We were way too hot from three, only reason we're in the game.

Sadly that usually doesn't continue
