Guys this team is going nowhere so it doesn't really make sense to get alot of wins.
We should be shooting for Shabazz Muhammad at all costs and getting as many close competitive losses as possible should be the plan.
I like Tucker's energy, telfair's tenaciousness on the ball, and a few other bright spots.
However, let's be honest.
We need 2 more superstars on this team to do anything.
You keep dragic, morris, gortat, dudley, scola, brown (on the bench) and maybe tucker if he keeps showing he's an energy guy (aka next crowd favorite like Lou)
We need a shabazz and a lamarcus aldridge type.
So let's keep being competitive and losing and going for shabazz

This philosophy is so wrong and so short sighted. Tell me how many big name free agents want to go to perennial losing teams like Golden State, Minnesota, Toronto, etc. It is much more likely to see a free agent go to a borderline playoff team because they can push them over the top. If the Suns tank why would Gortat want to stick around when his contract is up? Why would any star player risk being in a perpetually losing situation? If the Suns tank what guarantees do we have with a top 5 pick? We have Beasley and Johnson who were both top 5. Unless you get the #1 pick there is so much risk involved in the draft. Even if you get the number 1 pick you might have to choose between Oden and Durant. Look how that turned out for Portland.

Even if we did land Shabazz it looks like it won't be for a couple more years. Then you have to wait a couple years for him to develop, let alone have him reach his peak. By that time, pretty much everyone on our current team will be on the decline.
Can't see how putting all our eggs in the Shabazz basket is a smart move.

Yup nevets.... but you still take a rook and hope for the best....
It may be hard for some to remember... but we have had a couple RoYs
Adams in 75-76 and Davis** in 77-78. *
Those two became staples... and for the next 10 or so we were much better. The problems of today are these kids come out after 1 yr... and really need a couple more of coaching to get to their potential. It is more of a crap shoot now than ever. To think you will get instant contribution is really a prayer at best.
* and Amare in 02-03
**'The Man with the Velvet Touch'... perhaps Al McCoy's greatest label.... and still as a fan, IMO, one of the best Suns to watch. ('that Nash guy' is a close second)
