Re: Budinger Update
xray isn't going to pick up an ACL tear. Please don't be a ligament tear. A mild sprain hopefully.

Won't know anything until he has an MRI

It means that there's no broken bones which is good, but it doesn't tell us anything about ligaments. I'm pretty sure he'll need an MRI for that.

Re: Budinger Update
I've heard twisted knees can take up to six months to fully heal depending on the damage caused. We'll need to know more about the injury to put a time and date on when Chase will return. Unfortunately that won't be for at least several weeks.

My point was that his ligaments were the concern from the start rather than a fracture

Re: Budinger Update
Really. Almost hope for a little foot fracture. I had one of those and went back to lifting heavy things in about a month. Twisted knee sounds scarier just because it's still a significant unknown.

I blame Bayno. It's the only logical explanation. How many injuries do the Blazers have now?
Exactly.
Exactly.

How old is Budinger? This kind of things and its rehab depend a lot on age. Is not the same at 23 than 28. If it's a little twist, could be two of three weeks; if it's a little bit more, should be six or more.
Just bad luck, I guess. Lot's of bad luck.

Darren Wolfson @DarrenWolfson
I know there's initial concern about Budinger's knee. Should know more later today. Do know #Twolves plan to continue talks w/ agents today.

Ugh...
Chase Budinger has a lateral meniscus tear of his left knee. Surgery will be scheduled later this week. No timetable for return right now.

Re: Budinger Update
Of course, I guess It could be worse. Love and Rubio out for another month+ and Bud out probably 2 months.

Re: Budinger Update
I guess at this level is more time, but for amateurs it's a very easy surgery: they don't even anesthetize you fully. It's like half an hour and the pain is really low. I only know amateur experience, but for me was 20 days without running, I got out of the hospital the day after walking by my own.
And there's different kinds of surgery: sometimes they don't have to cut it all; it's collagen, and the blood don't run through it, that's why it can't regenerate itself, sometimes they cut a part of it and leave the rest to prevent osteoarthitis.
So, between all different posibilities, this is quite well.
Poor Budinger, anyway, if they have to cut it all, when he's old he will need a cane, LOL. Actually, that's cool I think.
