The Magic will play better, but probably come up well short again

(K)nets 101, Magic 92

On the road, the Magic are certainly expected to lose this game. But a home/away (away/home from the Brooklyn side) of this sort can be difficult for the home team. The players have family distractions and the Magic can thus be more focus.

The line is -8 for Orlando, and I expect a loss around that score-line. No blow-out: but a firm loss.

BBD will bounce back, 14-20 FG.

Vucevic will learn to box-out and will get 17 rebounds.

We win and shock BK.

I think this game will be an example of what we can expect from most road games throughout the year: the team plays with energy and heart, keeps it close into the fourth quarter, and has a chance to win.

We may not win. Brooklyn has three significant (note: significant does not mean star) players in DWill, JJ, and Lopez, any of whom can influence the end of the game. I expect it to be a much closer game that could go either way pretty much down to the wire.

We're probably going to need to get the bulk of our wins - whatever that number is - at home, with the team feeding off fan energy to gut out the games. On the road, wins will probably be tough to come by.

It wouldn't surprise me if we wind up around 26-15 at home, and closer to 10-31 on the road.

Quick fact - Glen Davis has had 17.6% of his shot attempts blocked this year, at a clip of 3.6 per game. Out of his 91 shots this year, 16 have been blocked.

He is shooting 23.1% on shots within 3 feet of the basket, and when he expands his range to 10-15 feet, he shoots 25.0%. He's at his best when shooting from 16-24 feet, where he hits at a cool 42%.

What is so wrong with Jameer that he hasn't been able to play in a week????

Also, when did DeQuan injure himself???

Jameer has always had the healing power of a 93 year old diabetic with osteoporosis.

Jameer has an ankle and groin problem. Double whammy. Let's hope he gets healthy pronto and can play on Tuesday.

Jacque calls it a groin tweak, but DeQuan strained an 'abductor muscle' in his hip/thigh region. That happened in the final minutes of the Rockets preseason game. It's why his minutes were very limited when he started, and why Vaughn has sat him.

I think we have a decent chance to win actually, let alone compete. Jacque gets to show what he and the guys can do with a film session and a chance at immediate revenge.

We gotta get physical with guys like Blatche and Lopez.

Refuse to get bullied in the paint tonight.

This team again.....

I hope for a better showing. But thats not asking for much. Losing by 25 would technically be a much better showing.

I'm rooting for Davis since nobody else will. It will be tough for him to succeed when nobody is moving the ball though. 1:1 team assist/to ratio the past two games... with Davis taking half as many shots than usual and dishing it out with success more than others! Right now this team is playing ugly basketball.
