Well at least someone on the bench has to play decently right?

I just realized Varejao didn't score a single point in this game.

All that work to get back within 3 points and then Westbrook slops that garbage in before the buzzer. Man what a tough break.

Why the hell did scott wait so long to put the starters back in? and Dion with only 20 minutes tonight? Scott is trolling.

I dont know why the hell Scott continues to coddle Dion Waiters for? He already has shown he don't trust the bench. Which none of us do either. Play the kid 35+ minutes like the rest of the starters. That said, OKC is in trouble. I am rooting for them, cause I want our team to follow their lead. But they screwed that team up with the Harden trade.

That Westbrook 3 at the end of the quarter was the back breaker.

Asked Byron why no Waiters in the fourth quarter, if it was a Boobie issue or a Dion issue. "A little of both," he said, but wouldn't elaborate.

Waiters said he was surprised he didn't play in fourth quarter and said Byron didn't give him an explanation.

I asked if he thought he was playing OK.

"I was 3 for 6," he said.

I asked him if he thought Byron had a problem with anything he did defensively.

"No," he said. "I don't know. I can't explain it."

Tough to put Waiters back in when Gibson was hitting everything he shot.

I hate to do it because he is our only hope on the other side, but asides from our bench which was indeed atrocious, Kyrie's lack of defense really killed us in this one. At some point Kyrie is going to have to at least pretend to play some D. He is putting our bigs into way too difficult of situations. Westbrook is one of the toughest guards for Kyrie in the league, but this isnt the first PG to simply blow by him, and unfortunately wont be the last.

On the positive side though, LeBron used to get abused on defense too for his first several seasons. It wasnt until he figured out that defense wins games that he became a lock down guy. The reason I bring that up, is that Kyrie is the same type of player who refuses to have weaknesses in his game and will eventually become at least a serviceable defender.

Casspi might be better than Miles, but its not by a lot. One thing is for sure, the bench is driving the tank this year.

I questioned the Waiters move but can see why Byron stuck with Gib.

But ok here is my rant:

If you are going to continue to use Tristan Thompson as nothing more than player who sets high screens, you might as well trade his ass now. The second unit is so horrible - yet not one damn play was run for Tristan in the post. You made him work his ass off in the offseason and yet you cannot run one play for him? I get that as a starter he may not get many chances to run post iso - but with our pathetic second unit - he should be getting touches on the block - not setting high pick and rolls for Donald freaking Sloan. I mean - what is Thompson going to do with the ball at the top of the key 18 feet away? Nothing good is the answer......

Totally agree that Tristan doing anything near the three point line is really stupid. Nothing good can come from it. He looks so bad with the ball out there. Same with Samardo. AV is probably the most competent, and even he worries me out there.
