Advice on some drops (Bynum, Nowitzki?)

Post#1 » by Mobby » Mon Nov 12, 2012 4:10 am

I'm in an 9cat, h2h, 8-team league with some buddies; we play with a GGFFC, 3 util, and 4 bench. We play with 4 adds a week and a 2 day waiver wire with a day-to-day lineup. I'm strongly considering dropping the last 3, and I want to go ahead and drop Bynum and Nowitzki since they seem far too far away, but I'm not sure it'd be worth it. Any advice on how to go about this? I guess I'm mostly asking if you'd keep two elite, long-term injury players in an 8-team league.

Roster:

Chris Paul
Steph Curry
Damian Lillard
Rudy Gay
Al Jefferson
Roy Hibbert
OJ Mayo

Andrew Bynum
Dirk Nowitzki

Mo Williams
JJ Redick
Mike Dunleavy

Free-Agents:
Jason Kidd
Kirilenko
Larry Sanders
Kidd-Gilchrist
Henderson
George Hill
Thaddeus Young
Morrow
Danny Green
Greg Smith
Robin Lopez
David West
Aminu
Dorell Wright
Vince Carter
Kaman
Kawhi Leonard
Byron Mullens
Darren Collison
Ronnie Brewer
Demar DeRozan
Marcus Thornton
Corey Brewer
Mario Chalmers
Luke Ridnour

I'd hold onto Dirk and Bynum. There's just no one on that wire who is even in their stratosphere when healthy. Its a long, long, season and I wouldn't want to face a team that picked them up in the playoffs when they are healthy.

Wouldn't drop Mo but I'd drop JJ and Dun Jr for Kirilenko and George HIll. Both have been great so far.

How do you feel about Kidd-Gilchrist?

I have dunleavy myself, he is probably the only player on my team who I feel comfortable dropping him and Brandon Knight. If were you I would take Kirelenko instead of Dunleavy.

Just my opinion
