Greg Smith
Anybody agree with me that Greg Smith might be the best of our young big men??? Smith is only 21 years old, he produces every single time he is put in the game, he is our best finisher, and he absolutely dominated the D league last year. I think it's easy to overlook this guy b/c he wasn't a high draft pick, but he's extremely young and I feel he has the potential to be a bigtime weapon in the low post.

Re: Greg Smith
too early in the season to tell, give everyone a chance. too many patterson haters btw
i am glad front office didnt cut smith. his contract isnt even 1mil for the next 2 seasons. he'll give all the other pfs good competition for minutes. i hpoe patterson breaks out of his slow start soon

Re: Greg Smith
he uses his body well on both sides of the ball. really like that he throws his body into the defender, throwing them off balance to contest his shot, total opposite of what patterson would do

Greg is best friends with Paul George, who becomes a RFA in 2014. Maybe he can convince him to sign with Houston.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

George also has some family in Houston (though it's not like they're super close.) lol

I think Asik and Smith can play together in some situations.

What is the record when Smith has played this year? 3-0?

Re: Greg Smith
I love this guy for this squad. He has perhaps the best post game on the team, is a nice defender and rebounds decently for his minutes.
Him and Morris should have the offense run through them when the bench comes in, I think. An inside-out post offense would be great for Delfino to get open looks too.
Look at his numbers in his few games (tiny sample, I know, but still):
TS% .849
Defensive rating: 95 (Granted, it's against second string, but still best on team)
His PER, win shares and offensive ratings are way too overblown, but he's been outstanding in his minutes.
I only wonder if he lacks a mid range jumper and if he can defend really tall or athletic 4's.

Re: Greg Smith
I've always liked Greg Smith, they should put him in more often when we're behind. Leave Asik in if we're trying to secure a lead.
