Lastly, there's also the possibility that when those 8 weeks or so are up, and Wall is finally ruled "healthy," that it will only mean he is able to return to practice in a full capacity. It may take him another week or two to get back in game shape, ready to suit up for us. Hopefully that's not the case, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I hope that at this point, he is at least vigorously riding the bike and practicing his set shots (free throws and three pointers).

I hope he's out for the year. It would almost guarantee us a bottom 3 record.

Adding Shabazz to the SF spot with Beal and Wall would be lovely.

Not to mention it would guarantee Wittman and Ernie as being fired.

I know you guys don't like it.

But its time to tank.

Wittman is a good coach. I'll be very upset if he is let go before Ernie.

Yeah, I'm probably being unfair to Wittman, he's been solid.

And with D'Antoni and possibly McMillan to the Lakers there aren't a solid of other options out there.

Sigh.

My guess is that he is also riding the bike and lifting weights. He just has to avoid impact

Doesn't this feel like Charlie Brown with the football? Is there anyone here, who has followed and invested emotionally in this team for any length of time, who thinks that Wall is going to take the court in November AND elevate his play to that of a #1 overall pick? We've seen this movie before. It' doesn't end well. In fact, it is a tragedy.

I fully expect Wall and Nene to both return a little later than scheduled, around mid to late December, possibly in the same game. Then I expect the two of them to bang knees while diving for a loose ball and both need season-ending surgery.

Cheers to pessimism! 8-)

Pessimism is that Wall returns at a pretty good level. Between him and Nene we compete for the 8th seed, barely missing out. We end up with the 14th pick in the draft, which we trade along with Okafor for an overrated, overpaid player.

THEN Wall blows out his knee.

Let's assume Wall comes back by mid December while Nene continues to languish on the bench,

What's the chance he demands a trade as the Wizards chase yet another futility record heading into the all-star game?

You know his peers will be in his ear telling him to get out of this situation all weekend.

I'd want a new GM in here before that happens.

No way that happens this yr. You players don't have that kidn of leverage, and he hasn't even proven that he's a great player yet. I think this organization probably holds him in higher regard than mos other teams.

Maybe after his contract extension.

It's hard to tell, but he's definitely looking puffier in the face - and he's no chubby-cheeked Carmelo-type by nature. Then again, some guys do fill out in the face at that age.

I have NO BUSINESS trying to be funny posting this….

John Wall is on a state-of-the-art nutrition and supplementation program.

Seriously, Wall's not going to be a fat guy any time soon. I'm not concerned. i would much rather see him blow up staying off his feet than to blow up his knee trying to stay fit.

Induveca's right about the pool. That is where John Wall can stay very fit without stressing his knees joint.

If that happens then trade him for number 1 or 2 pick for 2014 draft to get Wiggens or Parker. Woot.
