Dmo is not playing because he aint ready period. From what i saw in the preseason, he gets pushed around by everybody and their grandmother. And his post moves are not gonna work in the NBA if he continues to put up those fadeaway flip shots. One year in the dleague/training room will do him some good.

Although i must admit Dmo is great running the floor and scoring off pick and roll. He can contribute immediately on the offensive end as a PnR big, his defense and rebounding is what kept him off the rotation.

Why Jones isn't playing remains a mystery to me.

Let's put him in the game, and we'll find out. At this stage Motiejunas is clearly a superior player to someone like Meyers Leonard who is getting 15-20 mpg with Portland. And Anthony Davis isn't exactly a musclebound freak.

maybe marcus morris outplayed motiejunas and jones in practice
maybe morey asked mchale to play morris to decide if they want to keep him around
maybe because morris is a better 3 pts shooter among them

you don't just put a rookie in the game to play big min when the team is trying to win
we are in a different mode now after getting harden
those want to see more of those rookies is going to hate the trade like me

You guys need a back up 2 guard to go easy on harden. Is Tj and Cook for gerald Henderson and a 14 2nd good enough? I don't think tj will get any minutes with Patterson being the favorite and Morris looking good.

Henderson is hurt right now and he's a bad three point shooter.
I'd rather just cut Cook and sign Mickael Pietrus (whom Minny is after)
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

I would not do that, sorry. Jones will probably start seeing more minutes as the season progresses.

Need somebody that can play PG and 2 Guard not sure if Henderson can do that. Also unless we are getting some real good talent I am against trading our rookies.

We'll give you Chris Duhon for a 2nd. He has a buyout next year at 1.75m in case you need cap room but for the price he's actually a very reasonable player.

we are rebuilding
we have to be more patient
morris has some nice post up game last night
he needs to do that more often playing as sf
my big question is: is he big enough to guard sf
he's having some trouble against kobe (hey 98% of the players are having trouble guarding him anyway)

This is how I would play our current Rockets...

PG - Lin (36) Douglas (12)
SG - Harden (38) Delfino (10)
SF - Parsons (32) Morris (10) Delfino (6)
PF - Jones (20) Morris (14) Patterson (14)
C - Asik (32) Smith (10) Aldrich (6)

I've been trying to learn more about Greg Smith for a while. So far I just know he's doing quite a lot of good work in the short time he spends on the floor: looking like a positive contributor. And he loves sending nice pics to fans. The latter doesn't really interest me that much, but could Greg one day blossom into a really nice center?

it all depend on matchup

if we are trying to win as many games as possible
PG: Lin (30), Harden (18)
SG: Harden (20), Delfino (28)
SF: Parsons (36), Morris (12)
PF: Morris (24), Jones (24)
C: Asik (30), Smith (18)

if someone is hot keep playing him until he passed out
