And of course Bynum is on Sly's roster. :banghead:

With Dirk and Rubio still a month away, I'm just happy (and somewhat surprised) to be 11th.

Worst.Week.Ever.

Wow we are getting destroyed this year. Sly and I got the best results of the week with 3-6 defeats.

Sabonis is forced to drop Granger (his 3rd round pick), has Amare sitting on his roster (5th round pick) and is getting pretty underwhelming performance from his 1st round pick (Wade - per game rank 71).

WB is hit hard with Nowitzki injury (1st round pick) and his 2nd/3rd/4th round picks are failing to live up their draft positions
Melo - drafted at 18, current per game rank: 42
Thornton - drafted at 47, current per game rank: 127
Hibbert - drafted at 50, current per game rank: 197 :o

Sly has Bynum sitting on his bench (his 1st round pick), his 4th round pick in a terrible funk (Ilyasova - current per game rank 344 :o ). Furthermore his early 2nd round pick (Horford) is giving him a late 3rd round return.

My team is still paying for the gamble I took with Nene (should have went with Kevin Martin) plus the surprising injury to Wall.

Hopefully I can stay in the top 8. Reviewing my draft after 3 weeks: Lawson pick 16 rank 240 is awful. Bogut pick 80 INJ is awfuller. Markieff pick 144 rank 219 bad.
Good
Ibaka pick 17 spot on. George pick 48 spot on. Foye 178 spot on. MKG pick 81 spot on. Chalmers 143 spot on.
Better
Bosh 48 rank 11 great. JRich pick 177 rank 25 great. Kimba pick 113 rank 14 great. Thad pick 114 rank 50 good.
Battier off WW rank 91 great (TY Gokce).

JImmer and Drummond my last 2 picks were both cut. However both were picked up by other teams so at least somebody liked both more than I did.
What I need is Bogut to improve to playing, Lawson to improve to decent. If both happen I should stay top 8 and maybe even contend with luck.

I think you are selling your team short. IMO Lawson will definitely pick it up and the rest of your team is very good (except Bogut). I could easily see you finishing in top-5.

Man, this is a bad year for me. But there's good and bad.
The good: Taking one of the top teams to a potential 4-5 loss without my top pick (Nowitzki) and my top PG (Rubio) isn't half bad.
The Bad: No clue when Nowitzki will return.

15th out of 16. Yeah, there's room for improvement there.

A good week for Busersports. All 4 teams are 500 or better. Plus if the playoffs started today all 4 teams would make the playoffs. Maybe the fact that our forum had the LBJ and Durant picks helped a little. A good and bad week for RealGm. The good: the forum was 500 overall for week 4. The bad: Sugarkids went 8-1 while the other 3 went a collective 10-17. It is still early and almost everybody has an injury or 2. Plus a lot of high draft picks flatout suck right now. Rubio and Bogut should be back this week. The season is still early and nobody is out of it yet. Cutting Bynum had to hurt. Anyone notice all the ties in Busersports records? I have 1 more win AND 1 more loss than So-Tex does? The standings are: RotoKingdom and Busersports sport 7 of the top 8 records. Cafe currently holds the other playoff spot. Not 1 trade has been made since the season started. Not even sure if any trade proposals have been levied.

Observation, the top 8 teams in this league all have exactly 2 losing weeks.

Observation: We are in big trouble.

Brian got Nowitzki back and I hope Bynum comes back soon. We need a big run from Brian badly (he needs to finish at least at 8-9 range) in order for us to avoid the last spot in forum standings. Craig's and Sabonis' teams are what they are at this point. They dont have any big impact players coming from injury so they will probably finish at 13-16 range. (though even finishing 13-14 will make huge difference compared to finishing 15-16)

My team has been absolutely decimated by injuries and really out of nowhere poor performance. I took the injury risk drafting Rubio, but I figured I'd be fine. If I had Nowitzki all year, I'd still be at least in the top 12, maybe higher. Sadly, I don't think my team will be making any run any time soon. But, for what it's worth, here's the official "downfall of WB" list.

1. Nowitzki: Nuff said.
2. Marcus Thornton: Seriously? The best shooter/guard/etc. on that team coming off the bench? Will someone please fire Keith Smart and hire someone who knows what he's doing?
3. Varejao: The best player on my team, and yet, his off and on injury thing is killing me.
4. Beasley: Wait, no, my fault for drafting him
5. My assumption that Buser sports would be as bad as they were last year. (I made some calculated risks thinking I'd be playing a softer lot...so much for that)

4) Realgm: 114 - 170 - 4 - 0.403

Observation: Busersports went 22-13-1 this past week so our winning percent as a forum rose. Only the top 8 teams are over 500. The bottom 8 teams by calculation are all under 500. Being second after drafting 16 AND drafting Ty with my first pick is hard to figure out. Still hoping all 4 Buser teams can be in the winner bracket. The smack talk in the room is getting fierce. Plus no trades to report all year. Just wondering has a team that drafted 16 ever won this league? Happy New Year's Eve all. Here's hoping Avery Bradley proves to be healthy and productive for me in the new year.

Observation: My last week's stats were equivalent to the production from one night of games on a normal team.

Melo out almost the entire week.
Varejao a complete injury no-show all week.
Hibbert missing a game with a snow-out.
Dirk and Rubio are back, but still playing like waiver fodder.
Paltry lines from Evan Turner, Thornton, Beasley
And now Thornton goes down with an injury.

Yeah, I can't buy a break this year. Talk about an epic waste of a year from WB this year.

E-gawd.... we're pretty bad this year.

Had a nice win this week with my guys back healthy... well, minus Bynum who SilentJim picked up. I've had some guys out-do their draft position so if I can somehow reach the playoffs, I might be able to put up a fight...

So far, spot on?

Seattle has built up nice powerhouse - especially according to basketball monster. Only drawback I see is guys like Duncan and Pierce get rested down the stretch.

Nice week for RealGM with the forum tying the Buser forum at 500 win records overall. So many 5-4 outcomes made this week more of a treading water week. Little movement up or down but another week gone. I was glad to see Afflalo's 20 points on Gokce's bench today. I eked total points by 13 over him. This short week coming up can/will be interesting. Seattle may be clinching a playoff spot soon. He is really lapping the field. All is still quiet on the trade front. Last year we had a big to do over the trade deadline extension. This year not a single trade has happened. GL on the second half of the season.
