Not to be condescending or anything, but do you really know why the Blazers ran that "switching" system ? I know exactly why he did it, based on the personnel the Blazers had was a reason he did it. Plus if we're going to complain about switching hell it happens to Gasol a lot when we play the Clippers. Switching is truthfully dictated by the opposing team. It's up to the defense to recover, switching in some cases is good it just depend on the guys on the floor.

Well, based on the personnel that the Lakers have right now, how would they handle the switching scheme with McMillan were brought on board?

I think Steve Clifford would be fine. He knows how to use Howard with Orlando. I saw him have great command in the huddle. Lakers played pretty good D yesterday, despite losing. I like to have Nate of course too. Clifford is a good D coordinator imo, I wouldn't mind keeping him.

Tell me more about his defensive philosophy. Am curious to see how he adjusts to the perimeter personnel that the Lakers have as opposed to what the Magic had.
