For Hakim Warrick? I guess this is an upgrade. Boardwise anyway.

Very happy with this trade.

This must mean that we have a trade for one of Tyrus, Mullens, or Biz in the works too? Maybe a package with Hendo?

just now hitting twitter...

good trade for us. i think someone mentioned something similar last week.

sad to see hammer go though. he will be back when he retires. he is a bobcat for life.

warrick will help our low post scoring, assuming he is actually healthy.

one wasted roster spot for a player that will play, and very possibly contribute? and for no future salary obligations (team option for next season)? i mean, sure!

But... Cho wins another trade. MC was a big part of some underachieving teams and we paid him a pretty penny for it. He hasn't been very useful on the court since then. Warrick might be productive, but if not, we gave up nothing. Sweet.

Someone definitely did mention this trade within the past week or so, and I shunned at the thought of it being possible or plausible within the 'Cats locker room

never been a warrick fan but PF is a position of need and matt was just rotting on the bench so I guess we won the trade

I don't get this trade. While Warrick is an upgrade at the position of need, why take on the salary without getting a pick. And is Warrick in our longterm plans? If no then what are our short term plans? I thought it was developing our young players while sucking so we get another high pick. Getting Warrick takes time away from Mullens and thomas. Thomas and Warrick are really similar and what are we going to do with two of them? Expiring contract is worth more to this club than what Warrick brings. Hammer provided some leadership if nothing else. What does Warrick bring a poor mans TT? Not enough, we should at least get an 2nd round pick.

Warrick is basically an expiring contract. His next season's salary is a 'team option'. I doubt the 'Cats pick up that tab.

Guys, Warrick isn't any good. This is basically a trade of bench players. Although I'm sure Warrick will play more minutes for you guys than Carroll plays for us. He just won't do it well. End of bench depth for very end of bench depth.

He's definitely the "better" player though. We are now even for having stolen Anthony Davis.

Well its only half a mil more this year and a team option, which he wont get, next year.
I guess we were not going to use carroll at all unless for emergencies. I hope he gets waived or retires and he becomes an assistant back with the cats or something. (Shite this means more Higgins)
