We can be the team USA of the NBA minus Coach K.

In any event, it wasn't just Jim Buss...
Thank you Kilroy, too many have it twisted. This decision on this thing solely rested in Doc Buss hands. Kurt in my opinion is coming off bush league to say the least. It's easy to say Phil wasn't asking for this stuff because you have an alliance to him. But so called sources ran with the stuff about final player control, not wanting to do some road trips or come in for shoot around's.

Simply put you can't hire a part time coach, Secondly the Lakers are and will always be bigger than Phil himself. I get he wanted to think it over, but common sense says if he wanted the job all this bull could've been over on Saturday morning with him saying he'll come back starting asap.

See this has always been Phil's MO........playing head games, and with all that's invested in this team this year it's no time for head games. Sorry but that's the blunt truth.

Deep, do you think for one second that Phil was coming back to be part time coach? No way that thought came out of Phil's mouth. No way that was even an option. I believe Phil when he says it either came from Buss or Dantoni's people.
