Shved probably starts, but I wouldn't rule out Malcolm.

It's Derricks time to shine now. He needs to man up now and prove his worth now that Love/Bud/Rubio are out.

I'd also think that Lee will get some burn, he's one of my personal favorites so I hope he can earn some more PT once Rubio is back.

Chandler would be interesting. He seems like the odd man out in Denver for sure with Iggy/Gallo and then Quincy Miller and Jordan Hamilton as well.

He has been pretty bad in Denver though, they tried to play him at SG when he's more of a SF/PF type.

me toocould have easily been lost for the season as i was pretty much expecting, at least now we have a chance to have a full squad when and i repeat WHEN we make the playoffs.

Lee starting doesn't offend me as much as it should. Assuming Barea and Roy are out, the team's guards would consist of Ridnour, Lee, and Shved. They'll get their minutes. Lee though is arguably the best option to defend Mayo.

I see lots of fans talking about how is this going to affect to the average win/loss, but nobody saying how is this going to affect the dinamic of the group. So, the questions for me are: who's going to come out as a leader? How is going Dante to take this extra minutes he's going to have? What will happen when Barea is back? Will he play as the first PG along with Ridnour or Shved? And finally, how is this going to affect Shved? He's clearly not afraid of trying to shot.

This really will have some effect on our work during the season, and how our players are going to understand each other. And it has not to be something bad at all.

See ya!

Assuming that Barea will be back any day it's not that bad. Obviously this loss hurts quite a bit but with Barea back in action Lee and Shved can, and will have to, handle the 2 spot. Not to mention that Roy should be playing soon, too (unless I have missed an update on him). AK47, Dante and D-Will will have to play big minutes at the forward positions.

The only thing that really concerns me is the lack of consistent outside shooting from the wing players. None of them can be counted on each and every game, unlike Bud.

“@WojYahooNBA: After knee surgery today, Minnesota Timberwolves forward Chase Budinger will miss three months, league source tells Y! Sports.”

“@WojYahooNBA: Budinger had his entire meniscus in left knee repaired by Dr. James Andrews, and source says he will have no lingering issues once healed.”

So he'll be back after the all-star break most likely. I was hoping it would be a little earlier than that but I'm not surprised.

OK, hard to see any bright side to this, but maybe these two:

1. With our play so far, I think it's likely we're going to the play-offs. If we have to lose Buddinger, doing it now only affects our seeding. If he's back in February with no lingering issues, he'll be a nice boost before we reach the play-offs. He already knows the system, so being out shouldn't severely hurt his effectiveness on an Adelman team.

2. I think the plan has been to use Chase this year, and re-sign him next summer. I'd guessed we'd be paying something like 3 years for $13 mil. Maybe now it's 3 years for $8 mil. This may not sound like a big deal, but we will be looking for ways to stay under the lux, and still keep Pek, our 1st, Bud and maybe the MLE.

the worst part (not really the worst, but you know) is that this was shaping up to actually be a good trade for Kahn after getting ripped pretty good for trading that 1st rounder for Budinger.

but, but, but jared sullinger and perry jones are huge steals. They'd be top picks if it wasn't for those red flags. Lets go acquire more picks so we can draft them.

of course I was on the Royce White bandwagon so....

Let's just hope AK47 can stay healthy and Shved keeps playing this well so we wont miss Chase as much.

Time for Derrick to earn some SF minutes.

I'm happy they opted to repair the whole meniscus and didn't cut out any of it. It's better recovering an extra month then have meniscus related knee problem later in your career.
