This is what NEEDED to happen. PUBLIC HUMILIATION is what Ted responds to.

What he needs to do is be forced to face the damn truth, and also to humble himself enough to listen to people who know better than the people he has been listening too. Ted can decide for himself, but he better recognize that he has invited failure and humiliation.

I am ecstatic this has played out the way I thought it would--because that means it will get better IF the owner listens for a change.

They got their butt beat by a better team. Charlotte is THREE GAMES AHEAD in the standings.

The Bobcats are 3-3 and Washington is 0-6.

I don't want to make the abused wife metaphor because that is disrespectful to those who have suffered genuine domestic violence. [Such as the lovely Julie Donaldson of CSN.]

But I do feel as if the Wizards are abusing me -- us -- somehow. And we're letting it happen because we just keep coming back for more. I have friends and family telling me to leave the no-good sonofabitch once and for all, but I keep going back.

I'm sure there is a better way to put this feeling I have into words, but right now that's the best I've got.

Why do I ever argue with Dat2U? He is always right about this stuff. The Wizards have one of the worst offensive lineups ever assembled. They can't score in the half court without Nene, and they can't get into a running game without Wall.

Anytime they break 80 points, it's a friggin miracle.

Hara kiri is disembowelment and cutting up your belly, usualy from one side of the belly to the other, then from up to down, and possibly a criss cross on top of that, designed to cause EXTREME pain, to show you werent just "backing out" like a coward. It was pretty much self mutilation, Seppuku came a little later, a little more dare i say it "humane", where you would make one horizontal cut from one side to another then be beheaded by an "accomplice"

Bahhh. If the Wiz could hit an open shot, they would have won. Had it down to 7 late in the game. Charlotte was hardly a beast. They shot 39% and 23% from 3 vs 29.8% and 16.1%

Its was suck and suck worse.

I'm slowly moving away from the abuse. I've supported (through tickets, merchandise and general enthusiasm) this team for over 15 years. But this season, the ownership of Ted and the management of Ernie have slowly depleted me of my enthusiasm (I'm Debbie Downer, 100% of the time now) and I will not attend a game this season, nor purchase any of their products.

To use the metaphor, I've moved out of the house and filed the divorce papers but my love (buried deep inside) just won't go away. I'll still always watch the team on TV.
