Hawks Player of the game vs POR

Post#1 » by ATL Boy » Wed Nov 14, 2012 2:51 am

Yes I know I'm a day late but I went to bed before the end of last nights game and was out all day so bear with me

Previous Player(s) of the game:
Al Horford (2)

Notes: Al Horford got a double double by getting 15 and 10 making his 3rd straight appearance on the list after winning both the first 2 times; Josh Smith also got a double double getting 19 points and 11 rebounds, he also got a blocked shot and finally hit a free throw, but went yet another game shooting below 50%; Kyle Korver shot 5-8 from the field and 4-6 from 3 point land and racked up 16 points in the process, lets hope that this is the start of a hot streak for him and that he's finally out of his cold spell; Jeff Teague made the list despite shooting 4-11, he had 13 points and more importantly 8 assists and is coming into his own as a play maker this season, oh and he also had 3 steals.

Just missed the cut: Zaza Pachulia who despite shooting only 1-6 got 9 big rebounds; Louis Williams who had 11 points off the bench and also 4 steals.

What I'd like to see: This is a new segment that I'm going to try out so here goes. I'd like to see Larry Drew keep playing Jeff Teague for over 30 minutes and I'd really like to see John Jenkins get a chance to play some real minutes and not just garbage minutes like vs the Clippers

Josh Smith was - by far - our MVP of the 1st half. He faded badly in the 2nd (due, no doubt, to his illness). Horford was the man in the 2nd half. He scored for us, rebounded for us and defended LMA when Smith was getting abused down the stretch.

Kinda like it that way ... 2 guys sharing the glory, I mean.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.
