Would they have won it all if Wade hadn't gotten injured during the Detroit series?
That team had great chemistry, Shaq having an MVP and Wade dominating in the playoffs. Would we have gotten passed Detriot and beaten the Spurs in the finals?

Shaq also hurt his thigh late that season. That said, I don't think Tim Duncan would have wanted to see Shaq that season, though sticking Eddie Jones on Manu Ginobili would have made things a lot easier for Dwyane Wade on defense. It's a possibility that Miami could have won it all that season. I honestly felt it in my heart that we were going to win it that year, and was heartbroken when we lost that Game 7. It still hurts thinking about it.

It seems like people overlook Wades playoff performance in 2005. In my opinion it's better than his 06 performance(not counting the finals, just EC playoffs). Shaq, despite the thigh bruise still played respectable enough that I believe we would have had a realistic shot.

No doubt. iirc, Shaq was supposed to win MVP that season over Nash, and Wade was playing spectacular.
The 2005 Heat should have won it all.
The 2005 Heat should have won it all.

Agreed. This loss pissed me off more than the 2011 Finals loss mainly because we hadn't won a title yet and were so close to glory, only to be stopped by injuries. Who knows if we would've letten go of SVG, had we won that year.

I remember being so sad Wade got injured. I really thought we were gonna win it all that year. We lost a game unnecessarily because Wade was out. We were 3-2 I believe and gave a win away... then Wade HAD to come back and it just wasn't enough.

We should have had that. Healthy Wade on our home floor in Game 7? We win that. Hell, we came very close without a healthy Wade.

I've never wanted to punch someone in the face so badly. Really hoping to run into him at a game one day. I won't hesitate.

If nothing else, we would have made the Finals. PEACE.

One of the lowest times for me as a fan. I have somewhat gotten over it because we won it all the next season, and against a better Pistons team, but that team was on a roll and had such great chemistry. I remember after game 1 we lost at home, and everyone thought the Pistons great D would shut Wade down. Then Wade took over the next 4 games...
IMO we win the title in 05 if Wade doesnt get hurt. Wade was on another planet those two playoff runs.
Shows you how fragile time is as a contender. We had a true 3 year window with Shaq, and really lost two years of those 3 to Wade being injured. Remeber, 06-07 he tore his shoulder and knee.

I doubt Heat win in 06-07 if Wade were healthy, everyone else was just too old and slow.
