And you were right about them all. Only thing is I also predicted every one of these outcomes, and so did many others on this site and on numerous other sites.

What's weird is not that your voice isn't heeded -- I hope you don't let that frustrate you -- or my voice, or all those other voices.

What's weird is that it was not difficult to see what those outcomes were likely to be. Not difficult at all. Easy in fact. So... how in heaven's name can a so-called basketball professional make that series of dumb moves? Ok, maybe the '09 draft-day trade was ordered by the owner. Even so, I think it's clear that Ernie could have pulled out the #18 pick in the deal (Minny wound up trading it to Denver for not much) and gotten Ty Lawson who I had as *a lock* to be a top-tier point guard.

Not to mention the '08 draft -- go back and look at how Darryl Morey managed that draft. We picked a guy w/ enormous physical gifts but who hadn't even been a very good college player. Yet, it would have been child's play to wind up with Nicolas Batum and DeAndre Jordan (and maybe even a 3d player) instead.

If I can see these things -- and if I then watch someone like Morey execute them -- that means they are real and anyone should be able to see them. So... why can't Ernie?

Because he's an awful GM that has no business in the league. TL needs to fire him before next year's draft or we will get screwed again.

This is the frustrating thing. Almost every one of EG's mistakes was completely obvious the moment it was made. I'll forgive him for resigning Arenas and Jamison because Pollin wasn't going to wait around for a rebuild; and I also understood the McGee/Nene deal (and I'm not yet convinced that it was a bad one); but the rest were just stupid moves. 90% of this board new instantly that the Miller/Foye trade was disastrous. 80% of this board was against the Okariza acquisition. Everyone hated the Vesely draft (though there was disagreement on who they should have drafted). Everyone hated the Satoransky draft.

We're not expecting EG to be a miracle worker. We just want him to avoid the obviously stupid moves.

Fell asleep on the game, but dreamed that Vesely hit the game winner. Guess that didn't happen. LOL

His box score stats suck, for sure. I wonder how complete a picture they give.

He was on the court for the big 4Q run last night and was +14 in 16 minutes.

nivek, payitfoward, nate33? Any thoughts?

Wittman made some comments about the officiating last night. Fines coming? Not sure that was good idea, seeing how he may be looking for a new job soon.

The +/- numbers are misleading for anyone who played in the 4th because Cartier and Seraphin were shooting lights out.

The Mavs had 6 offensive rebounds in the 4th quarter alone. A big part of that was because Vesley was being man handled by Kamen and Brand. I thought it was a bad decision to leave him out there for so long...

That +14 was due to being on the court at the same time when Martin went off. He is a bust. period.

Crawford is not the answer at point guard. Understand someone has to fill the position while Wall is out. . .but nobody seems to want to.

Looked to me like Dallas started coasting a bit early. Vesely contributed very little to the comeback -- his inability to box out Elton Brand cost the Wizards HUGE in the last few minutes.

I thought Vesely was a non-entity out there.

Regarding Crawford-as-PG, it seems to me that while he has good court vision, he lacks the ability to make certain kinds of passes needed out of a real point guard. (For instance, post entry passes. He's not terrible at them, but he's also not very comfortable making them.)

He may be the best option that we have left. I don't think that makes him a very good option though... just the best we have left.
