This team sucks and they aren't even entertaining to watch play. At least with Wall, Nick Young, Blatche, and McGee the game was entertaining to watch even if there were a lot of bone head plays. Ariza and Okafor have been awful!

2. Trade two or three players (small trades) and waive another. Try to create 3 roster spots.
3. Change starters at SG, SF, and C.
4. Contact two teams to interview potential coach/GM hires. (I like Randy but change will require a new voice coach the team--and an all new coaching staff. I would NOT fire Randy during this season -- I would let him coach the season out with the roster changes I have in mind. However, I would very likely clean house yet again this summer.)
5. Canvas the NBA for all Nene and John Wall trade offers.
***The Wizards are not hopeless, but it will take out-of-the-box thinking and smart moves, instead of foolish ones for a change.***
1. Agreed. Doesn't matter what scouting tools or technologies he has as long as he's analyzing the data
2. Agreed. I like Barron but he's eating a roster spot. Him and Pargo should go. Signing Livingston should have been a no brainer by now. Booker, Ariza, Crawford, & Okafor should all be put immediately on the block
3. Why would you bench Beal? I would definitely change starters at SF, PF, and C
4. I'd keep Randy, but under the direction of a authoritative new GM. No need to overhaul the staff now as long as Ernie isn't in charge of them...
5. Totally disagree. Again, I don't understand your obsession with dealing Wall, especially while he's hurt. If anything, the pathetic performace of this team should speak to how good he actually was for us. Nene shouldn't be dealt until a contender loses a big to an injury.
On point 2 -->Earl Barron is earning his paycheck and then some, as far as I'm concerned. I wouldn't waive him.
3 --> Beal has all the time in the world. What's the rush? I would bring him along slowly, against mostly second units, in a way he would gain confidence more quickly. He is better than Crawford; but IMO a bigger player like Webster or even Ariza might be more successful right now in a Thabo Sefolosha three-and-D role at SG. Beal would back them and obviously bring something positive off the bench--for a while. I would start Beal at the end of the season when he's (hopefully) too good to keep out of the rotation.
5 --> I said I would canvas the league for all offers for Nene and Wall. That is NOT the same thing as I would trade them.
The Thunder knew ahead of time they might trade Harden. Right now they don't look so bad. Washington knows Nene won't play hurt. Wall can't shoot and now he's got a knee issue, just one season before he a contract year. I'd be looking at Rondo, Lawson, Conley, plus a picks to see if anything might shake out. Canvassing is what you do to figure what the market value is. It is the OPPOSITE of what Ernie did when he traded McGee and Young at the deadline. That's a panic move or an impulse move. He didn't check out Nene's injury past.
What I would do is think about cutting either or both guys loose, a lot in part because this season is getting off to a bad start because they are not here. Wall's knee might come back 100% or he might have a shattered patella soon. I'm not saying trade him right away, but consider it.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Agreed. The problem last night was not playing one-on-one basketball or the effort. I think the the effort was there, the ball was moving, and we were getting open shots for the most part. The problem is the team is constructed of a bunch of players that can't shoot. Today, the media is focusing on how many 3 pointers the Wizards took. The thing they don't say is most of those attempts were open shots. A competent shooting team would have knocked many of them. Unfortunately, EG has constructed one of the most offensively inept teams in the NBA.

I'm with you on that.

Yikes. . .forget what I said after the last game about the Wizards at least being decent to watch. Last night was awful.

OK. My prior optimism just went in the toilet.

Did he ever have a 1-11 game ?
What a stupid, overreaction of a comment. First, it's been 6 games total this season. Second, it's stupid to judge a player based off one single game. Third, coming into tonight's game Beal was shooting 38% from 3-point range. And oh yeah -- he's 19. He'll have his ups and downs.
Lastly, a quick run through Allen's game logs (which only go back to the mid-2000s on ESPN), he actually had a 1 for 13 night. And plenty of others where he's shot between 15% and 25% from the field.
Overreaction my ass. You see tonights game where he got OWNED by OJ Mayo!@#@
Beal hasnt had one decent game. Sure ray allen has played a million games so im sure he had an off night but i dont think it was 5 games into his rookie year. Beal is shooting 33% from the 3 and about the same overall. You dont have to be a rocket scientist to realize thats pretty sucky for a guy who was billed as a shooter.
In summer league he shot a crappy percentage from the 3...the whole reason we drafted him supposedly was his shooting

ok one more thought on Beal. I was hoping he would be that gem we were all looking for..a Ray Allen type with a little Dwayne Wade thrown in and he may well become a good player. I hope he does..but it worries me that he has been such an inconsistent shooter. I gotta confess I havent seen many games. From what I have seen though I dont see any real star potential. Plus hes not really stopping anyone on the defensive side either.
Im rooting for Beal as much as anyone but havent seen much yet.

1) Sample size.
2) 19 year old rookie on a badly balanced team.
3) Team-player mentality, not a guy who pushes things or demands the ball.
Relax, Omega. There are a ton of things to tear your hair out about regarding this team. Beal isn't one of them yet.

Beal vs. Ray Allen -- 1st 7 games of their careers. Stats are per 36 minutes:
Big difference between the two through the first 7 games of their careers: Beal's 2pt shooting. That difference amounts to 8 made field goals -- 1.1 additional made buckets per game. In other words, if Beal made one more 2pt shot per game, he'd basically be where Ray Allen was after the first 7 games of Allen's career.
Relax.

Just wanted to point out that our 12 million dollar defensive anchor allowed kamen to go 10-12 from the field. For the season his counterpart is averaging a PER of 17 not including last nights game. Horray...

In addition, Ray Allen was 21 with 3 years college b-ball experience before he ever set foot on an NBA floor.
