Still Dreaming Of DH
I know a lot of guy here would agree that Al is a beter pure PF than Josh. But josh can do a lot more at the Pf postion with the right center. With LA try hard to trade for Josh to keep DH in LA make me sense all is not well between him the black mamba. I f we could offer a max deal to get him, resign Josh to a fair ( not max) deal and trade Al and teague to lets say..... boston ( who i believe will be rebuilding next year) for Rondo. This would make us one of the 4 best teams in the league.

We aren't trading both Al and Teague for Rondo, I wouldn't even trade Al alone for Rondo

If Josh, Dwight, and Chris Paul all really want to play together, then Atlanta is the only place with cap that can make that happen.
Ferry will roll the dice, and worst comes to worst, Hawks will just go with Horford, Teague, and huge cap that will net a top free agent.

Let's not get carried away. I love AL. He's my favorite Hawk since Mutombo manned the paint, btu Rondo dominates every game unlike anyone on our roster.
he is (arguably) the best at his position. He had 20 assists last night after missing a game. he's had 30+ games with double digit assists.
He has more career triple-doubles than anyone on our roster.
Rondo is the truth. He's a knucklehead and a diva, but the kid can ball.
With that said, I don't believe Dwight, Josh and Rondo wins us a title. I have doubts they could all co-exist. Talk about a team full of divas. They can all play, but none of them have showed a willingness or ability to stand through adversity without turning on teammates or pouting or attacking the refs.
Plus, in our division, I don't know if they get past LBJ/Wade/Bosh.

I understand that Rondo dominates but giving up both Al and Teague for him?? That's crazy given the way Teague is improving. But if it came down to Al for Rondo I still wouldn't do it, you don't trade big men for point guards. I'd rather have a lineup of
PG: Teague
SG: Korver (resigned?)
SF: Josh
PF: Al
C: Dwight
as opposed to
PG: Rondo
SG: Korver
SF: place random scrub here
PF: Josh
C: Dwight
We can't give up on Teague the way he's playing, with the right coach Teague would be nasty (and LD won't survive past this season) Now if Boston really wanted to rebuild and if they give up on their fight for the title I would propose a trade of Teague, our first (which will be in the 15-18 vicinity) and Houston's pick (also 15-18) and maybe Jenkins for Rondo. I have no interest in trading big for small
PG: Rondo
SG: Korver
SF: Josh
PF: Al
C: Dwight
Now that's a team that can get to the finals

Totally agree. We shoot for the moon. Howard/Horford/Smith would dominate the inside, both on defense and on the boards.
I'd imagine that SG would be Lou/Korver/Morrow/Jenkins and whoever else we could grab. Drew would be able to drastically change our identity that way: go fast with Teague and Williams, go perimeter with Lou and Korver or go traditional with Teague paired with Morrow/Jenkins. Horford could give Howard some rest; Smith could give Horford a break; Korver could sub in for Smith. Each change could affect matchups.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

Re: Still Dreaming Of DH
I like seeing this appreciation for AL.
I don't necessarily agree with it in this case, but I'm glad to hear guys appreciating all he brings.
Josh and Dwight in the same frontcourt would be both fantastic and terrible. Often on the same play.
