KOTB: Tor - Okla

Post#1 » by toast » Sat Nov 17, 2012 1:07 pm

Tor gives: Bargnani (10 m, 11m, 12m), Aaron Gray (2.5m, 2.8m)

Okla gives: Perkins (7.8m, 8.4m 9.1m), Perry Jones (rookie deal) Tor 2013 pick back

Why for Toronto
Bargnani has simply run his course in Toronto. Perkins will takes less minutes from our developing front line and provide a good example of hard nose play. Toronto can take the chance that Perry Jones will use his talent more and he has a greater opportunity to play here. We also get our pick back so that we can add more talent to our core.

Why for Oklahoma: They get the best player in the deal. Bargnani is an excellent fit for Okla, they need a scoring big. He is a great 3rd option and can score inside (when encouraged by the coaching staff) and out. Gray provides the large banging body when they need one. This doesn't really add a lot of salary short or long term but gives them a better chance at a championship this year.

OKC pass, we either need an inside scorer or a rebounder for the pick,
KOTB: Nope

No Barganani is not a good fit for the Thunder they need defensive big men that can rebound not another scorer.

Value is in the ballpark, but at others have said, Bargnani is not a good fit for the Thunder. Vote: No

KOTB: No

Why? Because this deal is a joke

Too many KOTB threads. This one is really poorly thought out for OKC. Can these threads please be kept on the KOTB page or just be titled as a typical trade thread instead of adding KOTB to the title?
