11/17 Star of the Game vs Bulls

Clippers start the season with a franchise best 7-2 record. Now we head out to a tough road trip.

Vinny moves 1 game above .500 with the Clippers and as a coach overall. I'm sure he's happy that it was against his former team.

Up until when Blake went ham, I was going to give it to DJ. Sounds crazy to give it to a guy with only 5 points, but he was a fantastic anchor for us through the first 3 quarters and really directed traffic. I'm hugely impressed with his development this off season and am mad that it's so hard to find his jersey in the blue alternates.

Gave it to Blake for his hustle and good D, then rattling off 12 straight points to close out when the Bulls went on a run. 4/5 ft and 5 made jumpers from 16-23 feet in the game.

He could already score inside, pass, rebound, handle the ball, hustle, had a high game IQ, and now he is starting to hit those kumpers and fts? Just wait til that elbow is feeling good....

Mats, I was thinking the same thing. DJ was so active defensively and making a huge difference in defending the paint. He's a huge X-Factor for us.

I went with Blake. This is another quality game from him after having a slow start to the season. He was diving on the floor, he was hitting the boards and he was knocking his shots (jumpers and free-throws). He's shooting 42.2% in the mid-range this season and looking more comfortable each game. Bob Thate said that it's likely that Blake will end up being a great shooter. It sounded like some fluff when it was first said, but he is improving. It's not something that happens overnight, but a gradual process. He just has to stick with it.

Blake as well. Didn't get to see the game so hard to tell apart from highlights (NBA.com) and stats but it seemed like Blake was doing everything out there well including clutch points down the stretch. Keep it up Griff!

Matt Barnes got my vote. He was very active defensively and got some tough rebounds. That one rebound that he put back with that athletic layup was awesome! Blake added 12pts in what was virtually garbage time, yeah he helped put the game away, but they were still up double digits when he scored half of his points.

Blake's jumper was looking nice, however.
