2:09. Lillard was being guarded by Chandler Parson when he made the layup.
2:13. Lillard shot a clutch fade away contested jumper when his penetration was being cutoff by Lin.

I realized that he penetrated against Parson, that's why I changed the statement as soon as I posted it. Regardless, that was definitely not "when Lin was defending Lillard". Now are you going to admit that you are just making stuff up or not?

Said it before, but the dude clearly has an agenda. Fabricating facts when the evidence is so easily accessible is not the smartest thing to do...

This thread is going places....

Lin played decent D for most of the game, but Lillard is a really good PG, he'll pretty much always get his. In addition, Lin needs to work on his conditioning. I'm guessing that had an impact on pulling him at the end as well.

Lin is a young player barely a half of a season into his career as a starter. He's shown a lot of promise and is putting up decent numbers for someone so young and inexperienced. There are several areas of his game he needs to work on such as his shot, conditioning, and his D. He's young, and there is no shame in saying he needs to improve. There is also nothing wrong with saying he has promise. Give the guy a fair shot.

Dude posts more in Lin threads than any "Lin fanboy" that I've seen.

And that's your problem, open your eyes. They switch on every pick, and Parsons is guarding Lillard on 108-109

Ok, I did get the first shot wrong against Parsons. He proably would have scored against Lin anyway, if the switch hadn't happened.

In any case, I'm not buying the "Lin is great on defense" meme. Doesn't pass the eye test.

Now you're guessing.

It's ok to say Lin played pretty well. It doesn't take anything away from basketball or Lillard.

And Romney probably woulda been president if rapture happened the day before the election.

So this is not a fact? Its a guess right? Its cool, you are entitled to that. As I said, you are entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts.

Lol. I Thought u based your opinions off of what your eyes see.

I'm still looking for this 'flailing and reaching,' defense that Lin plays. U have league pass? Perhaps you should re-watch that 4th qtr.

Whatever, dude. Lost in all the squabbling over specific shots, the fact remains that Lin is underperforming and all of the excuses and desperate stats pulled by his fanboys won't obscure it.

It will be interesting to see how the minutes are distributed going forward, and if the coaching staff displays more confidence in him. If they don't, well I guess that will be because they secretly hate him, right?

Let go back a couple of pages. The topic of discussion on hand is whether Jeremy Lin should be benched in OT. You came out to this thread to say that Lin sucks at defense and every "quick, explosive guard" abuse his defense. I showed you facts that demonstrated the exact opposite. You start going back to your "eye test", which is fine, cause no one can control what you want to see. However, you then stated that Lillard was blowing past Lin at the end of regulation. Now, that's an easily demonstrated falsehood. Now you want to change topics?

You still haven't address any of the points i made earlier. Making easily refutable lies is not help your cause. Now, if you would do us all a favor, and put "I believe" or "My opinion" on everything you write, that would be greatly appreciated.

The point of this thread isn't about whether or not you think Lin is a good defender. It's about whether or not he defended better than Douglas and whether or not Lin being benched in OT was justified. The fact is that Lin was better than Douglas both offensively and defensively, so it was not justified.

You're absolutely right, Lin is underperforming and is likely not going to reach the level that his hype suggests.

However, lying about the facts in order to strengthen your argument is about as sad as it gets.
