One .500 pitcher and one sub .500 pitcher....I still don't see what all the excitement is about. Hopefully all the positive thinker's out there are correct. Report this comment!"

"think we should keep Lind - even with a crowded BC position. Move JP to 1B/DH with EE - trade Lind for a young prospect that we lost in this trade. SOmeone here mentioned a trade for Marcum?? JP and Rasmus?? Thats alot for Marcum but I think he's a free agent...could be wrong. Report this comment!"

Sad thing is those comments share the sentiments of some realgm posts thus far.

The players we traded for should have won the marlins at least 100 games by themselves!

Johnson was a top 5 pitcher in 2010(you don't find these guys on the corner by skydome) and although his 2012 season wasn't as good, he easily would have been our #2 pitcher behind Morrow.

How can you call the fan comments true when you yourself admit that you know nothing about Buerhle and Johnson?

These are the guys that don't understand the reason why the majority are overjoyed. It's not necessarily the players we're receiving, it's that ownership has opened the wallets for AA to take that next step forward.

Some of these guys are trolls that hate on all toronto teams no matter what. The one guy is Habs420... enough said.

I'm more surprised that Randle is not in there telling the noobs how it really is.

To be honest I was more excited about Reyes, Cabrera but having Johnson and Burhle is just icing on the cake. Now we just need to make sure the training staff doesn't do anything to get them injured. I hope they apply the bio-mechanics research they did this off season.

Don't usually visit the forums or comments on those articles, but I'm guessing the majority of them just don't understand or was never lucky enough to witness the feeling and buzz all over the city in '91 - '93. The buzz this trade has garnered for the team isn't quite there yet, but is starting to become somewhat reminiscent of that time.

Doubt I could pull it off, nor would I want to. Just too much idiocy in those TSN comments sections, I would get overwhelmed by the stupidity of it all.

I'd imagine it would be something like when Neo fights all those Agent Smiths in Matrix: Reloaded, except I don't think I'd get out of there alive.
