I'm infatuated by, in no order; Austin, Len and S. Adams
Haven't payed much attention to back court players/wings. Those are around every draft.

Goodwin is the best fit next to Lillard and Batum.

I identified him early as a potential wing for the Blazers. Watched a game and a half of him on Kentucky.
Was disappointed with his defense, and he wasn't super athletic either. Played out of control a bit. That was the bad.
The good was he could fearlessly get to the rim, draw a foul and make his foul shots. Played well within the offense, made a couple very nice passes. Saw him hit a 3 pointer or two, not pretty but it went in.
Looked best with the ball in his hand, running an offense like a PG, didn't seem to do much off the ball.

Let's see how Shabazz looks after getting reinstated. Playing in the Pac-12, we
should be getting a real good idea if he can play in the NBA as soon as next year.

Yeah I saw a lot of the same except I thought he looked pretty explosive and athletic in fact I think that's what he is most notorious for. His jumper could definently use work as its nowhere near consistent. I also think it is hard for wings in college who aren't great outside shooters these days because of how packed in defenses get. I think it will be hard for a guy like Goodwin this year to show his true ability with teams packing the paint against Kentucky and all their bigs

Chase, if the league was going to hand the Blazers the first pick because of the loss of Oden and Roy, that pick would have been this past summer. Sorry Pal, the fix is not in for the Blazers.
It's CASE. And I actually think the Magic have the strongest chance of getting the first pick based on conspiracy theories. First it was Irving with the cavs, then davis with the league owned hornets, so naturally it's going to Orlando under that pretense. But the real reason I think we might get it, is because teams in the 3-7 range usually win the draft if I recall. Someone always jumps.

Oh he's a good athlete, but just not elite like Westbrook or prime Wade. Maybe like Evans as a top end after a serious NBA training program, but I didn't see him as that special.

Gotcha yeah maybe not on their level but he definently has their attacking mindset. Maybe a dion waiters esque type of player?? A ball handling 2, I actually like him coming off the bench as a scorer. Id like to see him in more p&r situations and maybe spend another year at uk. Unfortunately I think he is a one and done especially with the Harrison twins coming in.
Here's an impressive dunk from tonight.. Even though the kid he is dunking over is probably about as athletic as me lol. Kind of funny that the kids teammates are even smiling after it

Shabazz played today. Man I hope he has a weak tourney, or something like LMA so he falls to us if we get a top 5 pick.

Really starting to like Marcus Smart. Don't want a short SG next to Damian but he could be a James Harden type 6th man backing up Wes and Dame.
From Portland to Reno to Vegas to LA to SLC and on to HotLanta. Winning at life. Too Blessed to be Stressed

A number of NBA GMs -- including the Celtics' Danny Ainge, the Jazz's Kevin O'Connor, Bulls' Gar Forman, the Warriors Bob Myers and the Blazers Neil Olshey -- were in attendance. Overall, they are seeing the same phenomenon here that they are seeing everywhere. This is a down season, talent wise, in the NCAA. "If Cody Zeller, Shabazz Muhammad, Nerlens Noel and James McAdoo are your top four picks, it's going to be an ugly, ugly draft."
Other than McAdoo, I couldn't find a scout or GM convinced there was another first-round prospect here. If Kabongo plays, that could be two. But that explains, in part, why the field is so weak.

Didn't know who he was until now, but averaging 8 rebounds at 6-4
He seems like a real hustle guy though but his height scares me a little. We need that prototypical 6-6 guy.
EDIT: Not necessarily NEED but would love to have.
Dammit...:
I've got Nurkic fever now.

Whoever was doing color commentary for that OK State / NC State mentioned that he had talked to Chad about Smart and he said "You just like so much of his game because it's built on toughness...he does things you don't expect out of point guards."
Ideally I think we want a guy that can come off the bench and score while also being able to take some off the ball handling responsibilities off of Lillard's shoulders and let him play off the ball at times to let him rest a bit and make more use of his shooting ability. Smart seems like he'd be able to fill that role as 6th man / 30 mpg combo guard off the bench. The excellent defense is a big plus too.
Watched a bit of McLemore from Kansas also and he's sleek and explosive SG with a pretty stroke. Listed at 6 4" but looks closer to 6 5" with longish arms. Crisp ball mover. Not really sure if he's a dynamic ball handler and his D just OK from what I saw (3/4 of the Kansas v MSU game from about a week back) Got caught ball watching a lot and got beat off the ball a few times.
Have yet to watch any of Goodwin
