Re: GT: vs Bucks Mon Nov 19 7PM
ignore the tank for a while fellas and just enjoy the ride. this team is fun to watch and young. if we win along the way, so be it.
our schedule is going to get tougher soon, the young players will hit a wall, teams will scout us better and not take us for granted. i still think will finish with about 25 wins, maybe 30. perhaps we arent a lock for a top 4 pick this year, but we'll still be picking high. we have cap space and perhaps somebody will want to come play with kemba and mkg.

fatlever wrote:as posted in the hammer thread, i thought tonight was perhaps mullens most complete game. he took good shots, posted up, was big inside, rebounded, made the open jumpers when he had them and played half decent defense inside.
assuming jeff taylor in not close to a finished product, i cant wait to see what part of his game he improve in the summer. while he is a decent shooter now, i could see him coming back next year having figured out the NBA 3pt range. right now it feels like that shot is about a foot too long for his "killspot"
Mullens plays like a beast when he isn't hanging around that 3 point line the entire game.

tonight was definitely the tightest rotations dunlap has used this season. only 9 players and only 6 played more than 14 minutes.

this caught my interest on the Bucks board.

speaking of random encouters...
i was downtown on saturday morning for the marathon, sitting on the sidewalk at mile 18 in front of bobcats arena. i was on the phone with a buddy of mine when ben gordon walks out of arena and walks past me on the sidewalk. i say to my buddy on the phone "thats ben **** gordon" i'm pretty sure ben heard me because he looked over at me, i nodded, he nodded back.

I was too scared to go up to Theo Ratliff and is 6 kids at the movie theater, but caught Derrick Brown coming out of the smoothie shop. He noticed I was gawking at him so I said hi, you're my favorite player, do you like Charlotte, you know, typical star struck stuff. He loves Charlotte btw. Maybe we can give him a look with Tyrus out.

I dont think anyone would want to come to Charlotte to play with Kemba or MKG.... they would come if Charlotte offered the most money

yep, I love doing it as well. The Knicks fans reaction after us beating them at MSG last season was priceless.

Great win! Good time to be a fan. Kemba is legit. MKG is a force. Mully is Brook Lopez-esque. Sessions is veteran savvy. JT is coming along. Biyombo is a brick wall when setting screens. Bobcats are over .500!

I had to miss the second half because of a funeral, one engagement I couldn't get out of.
Great win!!!!!
I knew we could do it.

Im excited too Catch, but we need to temper our expectations. This team is choc-full of Rookies or second-years, and we should see some regression to the mean for these guys. It's inevitable to have a night where it's just not there for us, and we need to be patient for them. I would still like to see MKG shoot more. He had plenty of open looks last night but would take a few dribbles in and then pass off. I know that his game at Kentucky wasn't revolved around scoring, but he needs to develop a midrange, and then I think he can blossom into a star.
Mike Malone was never given a fair chance in Sacramento, and Ranadive will soon come to regret that, when he's on top of the WC inevitably contending somewhere

@ 'Imcguir5', oh, my expectations are tempered. I wouldn't be surprised at all if we were to fall back down to the bottom of the standings but at the same time I'm enjoying the chance to be optimistic because you never know what can happen. I wish we could play the Heat or Spurs soon because those are probably the most consistent measuring sticks the NBA has to offer right now.

Doubly so for the Heat because they're division rivals.
