Does it matter? They both suck.
of course it matters; lin is the starter, and he is expected to play well. he's not going to play well if his coaches don't trust him.

God Damn I hatde the Jazz. I mean it. If only I could swear hear I could write an essay on how much I hate them.

When America Was being settled, someone took a dump on a Salt lake. Someone else asked him why he did that. His response was, "Ut'ah do that too, this place sucks!!"
Utah was born.

Despite what you Lin fan boys think, without Harden, even with his ugly heroball and turnovers, this team is putrid.
Now, now - no need to start stereotyping or generalizing me just because I made a guess - based on how the Jazz performed in their game vs the Wizards. I had no clue Harden was sick and would make his first show toward the middle/end of the 2nd quarter.
Nor did I think that the team would be that tired and worn out going into the Jazz game. Chalk it up to a series of beliefs that were squashed early in the 1st quarter ~
You have every right to be upset - but theres no need to start saying Lin fan boys etc.

Re: Monday @ Energy Solutions Arena vs Utah Jazz GT: 8PM NSF
commentator mentioned in the game that Harden is sick
of course the team is tired
this is the 3rd game in 4th night
get used to losing
this is the youngest team in the nba
other than Parsons and Patterson this is the first season they are playing together (well Lin was here for few weeks during training camp last year but that didn't really count)
chemistry take time to grow
you can't just hit a home run right away

Upset? I'm not even upset. What gives you that impression? Whatever. Let's just say I've read enough of your posts on here and on clutch fans to know in which direction your b-ball related opinions are slanted.
You never cared abut the Rockets until Lin got there. You follow them because of Lin. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Not that there's anything wrong with that. As far as I'm concerned people can be a fan of whoever they want on whatever team they want. But when you're so biased in favor of one player, as your posts indicate, it kind of prevents you from having objective opinions on said player, or on said player's teammates, or on other players at the same position on other teams, or on how good said player's team actually is, etc.

^^rockmanslim I like kinein, he doesnt seem like he is just a fan of lin. I like his posts
He has shown me he can be a rational poster an I have seen him give credit to other players...he also seems to be a fan of all the players on our team
I understand it can get annoying when some people are JUST Lin fans that will shiz on our players no matter how they play and glorify Lin no matter how he plays, but I haven't seen kinein as that kind of poster.

I am biased

Though it really is unfair to name-call or make assumptions without even asking.

Nor am I interested in participating in any nasty mudslinging!
Be that as it may - Michael Jordan is the baddest mfer ever to play the game. Am I a fan of Lin? Sure am! I'm turned off to the whole culture of do bad, be bad, get paid - treat me like a diva that the NBA has become. I'm also a fan of Jared Jeffries who plays with the Trailblazers - because I got to watch him play last year. Also a fan of Iman Shumpert, Steve Novak, and Baron Davis - whom I incidentally met in Beverly Hills last week! Bdiddy is a coolass mfker! And a few Goldenstate Warriors.
Other players I am biased toward are Derrick Rose, Ersan Illyasova, Mike Dunleavy Jr, Landry Fields, DeMarcus Cousins the big baby thats under-potentialized ~ he needs to leave the ghetto and have some mentors and players he can look up to.
I thought the Rockets last year were about as good as the Goldenstate Warriors. GS whom I'm partially biased toward - don't really care about anything other than if they've finally become a yearly playoff contender. 10+ years later. They haven't and their uniforms are ugly as sin. Lacob needs a uniform redesign after they move to SF.
But yah - your middling, never compete for a championship - level type of team. A few good games here and there, but lacking the right pieces and chemistry/ability - and leadership to get to the promised land.
Whats my opinion of Lin ? He is shooting horribly and hurting the team tremendously. He lacks aggression, leadership, any jump-shot, any 3pt shot, even his free throws have been sketch recently. I also think he has a tremendous clutchgene and killer-instinct ~ which hasn't been seen at all this season. I also haven't seen much of his confidence yet. But the guys a team-player and hustling - defense, rebounds, blocks, steals, forcing turnovers, taking charges - the only thing I don't see improvement is his shooting - and him developing a wider array of shots.
I also think hes a natural leader - has led every team he has been on - given the chance. Which he only had briefly in the NBA so far. He's shot game winners, he's shot winners in triple OT, he's also air-balled shots and had 9TO games (last season) - based on his effort and many improvements this season defensively and hustle wise - I'm still cheering him on but now-a-days I just hope that the other players can step it up and fill in the gaps for him since it looks like he needs more time.
Yes definitely biased. But no, to clarify your statement - I didn't follow the Rockets just because of Lin.
I also started watching the Rockets in 1992/1993 before the first championship in the 90s. When did you start watching the Rockets?

Hmmmmmmmmmmm ~ loving it!
I understand what your trying to say ~ but does it really matter? I watch basketball and the rockets to be entertained and enjoy the sport and players whom I find fun to watch.
With the Rockets : its Asik Lin Harden - Delfino, Donatas, Royce White, Marcus Morris, TD, Parsons ~ Their progression - chemistry, how they are developing, and potential - with reality utilizing stats, eye-test and also..
Replaying games - watching games over, replaying tape over and over to analyze what each player is doing etc. All that stuff ~ I like doing - its kind of surprising I'm not doing work in the sports-industry yet ~ though ESPN and Foxsports look mighty attractive right now.
But does it really matter? Do you really care how long I've been following NBA basketball or who my favorite college teams are in the NCAA? Though I think the best basketball is the one you get to play with competitive friends and opponents - or at least league play or local/regional tournaments. My approach is you believe what you want to believe and we all chat and spout off our opinions and some people use facts, some use bias, and some just make stuff up lol. I like to occasionally toss in statistics and numbers to ground myself - SOMETIMES! and other times I'm just rooting away. Though I think my odds are better than a Wizards fan at the moment

Some people are going to hate me but - I think GSP is the coolest baddest mfer in MMA fighting

Yes I'm biased!
I believe everyone is entitled to like whomever they want - unless it is JaMarcus Russell

the first QB to show up to training camp over 300lbs.
Then we have a problem - because anyone that likes him - must be a devil worshipper.
When the Raiders signed Russell they inked him to an incredible six-year million deal worth $68 million (after holding out until September) which many thought was justified, but now three years and $39 million later it appears to be a complete injustice. The mathematics behind his contract and his production on the field are astoundingly terrible in many ways.
JaMarcus Russell won just seven games as starting quarterback which equals to roughly $5.57 million per victory. Russell threw just 18 career touchdowns which equals to about $2.16 million per TD pass. He completed just 354 passes which cost the Raiders about $110,169 per completion and threw for just 4,083 total yards which Oakland paid $9,551 per passing yard gained. With prices such as those how can anyone argue with the fact that JaMarcus Russell stole money from Al Davis and the Oakland Raiders.
The greatest robbery outside of the mortgage and banking industries!
