Blue Jays "Official" Depth Chart- post trade

They don't have Melky in LF yet but it's still interesting.
It's what you'd expect except a couple things that I find interesting:
-Bonifacio is listed as the starting 2B and Izturis is listed as the backup at 2B, SS, 3B which makes some sense.
-Gose is listed as the backup CF & RF with Davis behind him. I find that interesting.
-Cooper is not listed at all, so maybe we can put that to bed for now.
-The starting pitchers go Johnson, Buerhle, Romero, Morrow, Happ and Jenkins as the #6. That's really unexpected b/c not many here would have it listed that way.
Obviously it's going to change before the end of spring training to some extent, but I do find things unexpected how they may stack going into ST.

I think that makes sense (if Melky wasn't here). Gose is the bestter fielder, so I think it just means if one of the other starters had a day off, you'd put Gose at the harder defensive position (CF or RF), and then Rajai would take over left field.

Only thing I'd really switch there would be Morrow over Romero.

Re: Blue Jays "Official" Depth Chart- post trade
How confident are you guys in Lincoln and Delabar in the bullpen?
I'd be pretty shocked to see Gose make the big league roster he didn't show anything when
he was called up and needs everyday playing time in Buffalo. I don't see that happening with
Bautista, Melky, Rasmus and Davis here. I guess the same case could be made for Sierra.
I'd also be shocked if Mike McCoy is still around kind of a waste of a roster spot...
2B seems to be the biggest position in flux. It is Boni, Cesar, a FA, KJ coming back?
Like others I expect another starter being brought in and at C the Arenciba dilemma is interesting.
His game calling and defense could be an issue in a potential pennant race. While he is flawed he
is still great for chemistry and C is still a position thats weak in baseball and there are a lot of worse
ones around the league.
And as for DH i'd like to see a veteran LH guy who's know for clutch hitting and can hit lefty pitching
a bit like a Berkman, Ibanez, Thome type.

Looks like they just updated it and added Melky. Removed Gose.

Not sure if it's shopped, but all the new players are wearing Jays hats, even Buehrle.

depth chart is showing Darren Oliver in the bullpen. I might have missed it, but any word is he coming back next year?

I look at that depth chart and get giddy. Then I see Adam Lind's ugly mug. Looks like we have one more change to make.

No word yet whether he'll stay or call it quits.
I'm wondering about Jeffress in the bullpen, and if he should be on the 25-man roster. I don't know too much about him

Re: Blue Jays "Official" Depth Chart- post trade
Arencibia is there now. Clearly they're updating everything today because Gose is not there anymore and Davis is the 4th outfielder backing up every position.
Mike McCoy will be back this year, you can be sure of it. He'll have his normal role of shuttling back and forth between the minors and majors every time someone gets hurt because he can play any position. Bonifacio is really going to steal his thunder because he can do that and also hit too.
This page is going to be interesting to look at as things continue to evolve.

just gonna focus on this-- not sure where you really stand, but i hope you're not ripping Delabar. that was one of the smartest pickups AA has made, and that's really saying something. i'm not sold on Lincoln, but Delabar is a SUPER addition to the pen. full confidence from me.
