Lillard, Hibbert, Faried for his Jennings, G. Wall, Afflalo.

Post#1 » by mtx » Tue Nov 20, 2012 5:05 pm

My team before:

Yahoo! 12-team Standard Roto 9 Cat (can only start 2/position)

2PG - Westbrook, Lillard
2SG - Stuckey, G. Hill, B. Gordon
2SF - Hayward, A. Gee, Leonard
2PF - Ibaka, Lee, Faried, Ilyasova
2C - Monroe, Hibbert, Pekovic, Mullens

My team after:

2PG - Westbrook, Jennings, Stuckey
2SG - Afflalo, G. Hill, B. Gordon
2SF - G. Wallace, Hayward, A. Gee, Leonard
2PF - Ibaka, Lee, Ilyasova
2C - Monroe, Mullens, Pekovic

It will suck losing Lillard but Jennings is a better scorer with better A:TO ratio. Afflalo and G. Wall will be instant starters for my SG / SF and both average 35 MPG. Loss of Hibbert is no big deal...he's dragging my FG%, FT% and killing my TOs. Loss of Faried is no big deal, he only contributes in FG%, PTS, REB. Upside is I get to play Mullens who can get me some 3PT every game.

Thoughts?

It's the last trade I can make this season (max 2 per team) so I want to go big and not just trade 1-for-1.

Players of Interest on his team: Jennings, Curry, Affalo, Lebron, G. Wall

No way you should even consider doing that trade.

I feel like I'm winning the deal by a good margin and everyone here is telling me I'm losing it...

Lillard vs Jennings
Jennings wins 5/9 cats - PTS, 3PT, AST, STL, TO. Push in REB, FG%, FT%, BLK.

Hibbert, Faried vs G. Wall. Afflalo
G. Wall side wins 4/9 cats - FT%, 3PT, AST, STL. Hibbert side wins 3/9 - FG%, REB, BLK. Push in PTS, TO.

Based on my roto standings, my category strengths include REB, BLK. I need most help in TO, followed by AST, STL, 3PT.

Based on my positional rankings, my greatest strength and depth is the PF / C position which naturally translates to success in the REB and BLK categories as mentioned above.

If I am to improve in the other cats like AST, STL, 3 PT, FT%, less TO, I will have to get rid of PF/Cs for more SF, SG. And in this deal Jennings is by far the best player in the deal. Does anyone have any other compelling advice why I should not make the deal??
