Foul trouble is 3 PFs???

How bad is his back, just a strain, chronic? I haven't seen anything on an injury...

He had foul trouble early, the other line was doin really well so Dunlap took the opportunity to let Gilchrist rest. Someone hit his back going up for a layup a few days ago. He's fine now

I'm not totally sold on MKG's skill set yet. But I've found him directed, determined and a gentleman, too. His mom did a great job.

After a slow start MKG is the #2 rookie on NBA.com's Rookie Ladder and rising. It wouldn't surprise me if he's #1 on the ladder by next week.

The Bobcats have won four of their last five and are one game over -- yes, over -- .500 and MKG is a big reason for the turnaround. The 'Cats have become fun to watch and Kidd-Gilchrist's energy is contagious. He's scored in double-digits in five of his last six games and is among the rookies leaders in rebounds (7.2 per game, 2nd) and scoring (11.7 per game, t-4th). If Davis misses more time with his ankle injury, MKG could have a good chance at keeping this rung if he can fend off Harrison Barnes

I wonder where are those people that were crying because they wanted Thomas Robinson over MKG?

It's still early, but here's the breakdown of their stats so far. In 9 games MKG is averaging 11.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.7 assist, 1.1 steals, & 1.6 blocks while T-Rob is averaging 5.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 0.6 assist, 1.1 steals, & 0.1 blocks in 8 games.

(Per 36) stats
MKG: 15.4 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.2 assist, 1.5 steals, 2.0 blocks

T-Rob: 11.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.3 assist, 2.4 steals, 0.3 blocks

I knew that this was a good decision on our part. Thomas Robinson was as overrated as Sullinger, he played physical, but lacked true post moves. MKG is a much more dynamic player, if he can learn to hit a good midrange, we could be looking at an All-Star for years to come. My guess is that once Robinson's rookie contract runs out the Kings will be looking to move him. Not really sure why they drafted both Robinson and Cousins? In the right system I think he can be successful, just not on a Kings team that needs him to be the premier player.
Mike Malone was never given a fair chance in Sacramento, and Ranadive will soon come to regret that, when he's on top of the WC inevitably contending somewhere

I liked Robinson but in my defense I wanted us to trade down and acquire multiple picks for the number 2 overall. But I'm very happy Cho didn't do what I wanted because I absolutely love Hyphen.

I have a feeling that Gilchrist is going to go nuts tonight, especially if McGuire guards him for long stretches.

Hey we all make mistakes. However in the past I also wanted to draft Andrew Bynum, Danny Grainger, and Brandon Roy, and Brook Lopez.

I will be honest, I wanted MKG, Brook Lopez, Klay Thompson and the trade-up for Chris Paul. I also wanted Brandon Knight, Brandon Roy, and Earl Clark. Shows how much I know.

MKG I thought was more about culture, hard work, and a swiss-army type skillset than anything else, to change the culture of the cats. Him and Dunlap and Kemba are doing it. Perfect fit.
Who I woulda took:
2023: Miller | 2022: Duren | 2021: Bouknight, Jones | 2020: Ball | 2019: PJ | 2018: MPJ | 2017: Monk | 2016: Damian Jones | 2015: Winslow | 2014: Vonleh, Napier | 2013: McLemore | 2012: MKG | 2011: Knight, Kawhi

Same here. I wanted to trade down for multiples and get Drummond and somebody like Barnes if MKG wasn't still there.

MKG looked great last night. He could've finished just a little better in transition, but I love the aggressiveness he brings to the offense. I feel like Kemba is complacent with swing passing until MKG gets the game going, and then I feel like Kemba decides to take over. Great relationship on this team with these young guys already and Taylor looks like maybe he has more offensive game than we thought when we drafted him. MKG could work on some free throws and a nice midrange, but I like where he is right now.

I have been very busy lately and haven't been able to watch as many games as I would like, however judging by the box scores MKG seems to be picking up a lot of fouls, even fouling out last night. Anybody want to fill me in on why he is fouling so much?

That and the fact that he is extremely aggressive on defense. Put that together with his inexperience playing nba defense, and it is amazing that he picks up as few fouls as he does. It could be a lot worse.

This is also a little bit premature, 12 games into their rookie seasons. Everyone is thrilled that MKG is off to a great start, but we really don't know how good Robinson will end up being.

It wouldn't have been "premature" for the MKG doubters if the stats were the other way around. After the preseason & first 2 games before Hendo got hurt, everybody was ready to taint MKG's name with the label of being a bust. I know there's a fine outlook before we could truly judge which player could've, should've, would've been the better pick, but for now I'm happy with who the 'Cats did select.
