I know Blazers fans called Steve Blake "Soft Porn" because there was no penetration.

AK47 is a perfect nickname on so many levels.

I am biased, but Clyde the Glide was a favorite too.

All the initial-number combos are lame as hell.

Worst: King James, Black Mamba, every nickname Howard or Shaq has ever had. I also agree that stuff like T-Mac, CP3 is unimaginative and C3PO would be amazing.

Best: Gotta go with AK47 here. But when Andrew Wiggins enters the game and establishes himself as a clutch player, "Ender" will blow it out of the water.

Gotta agree that AK47 is one of the best. It just works on so many levels.

I've always thought "The Truth" was a really stupid nickname.

BEST (Active)

Black Mamba is actually awesome, also sometimes simply Mamba.
King James
Durantula
CP3 is simple but it fits him
The Truth
The Big Ticket
Half-Man Half-Amazing/Vince-anity
AK47
ZBO

Worst (Active)

Flash (Wade) was terrible IMO
CB4 (doesn't flow like CP3)
STAT (doesn't fit him)

Some Raptors fans (or I think it was just one who gained a following) were calling Jerryd Bayless "The Boy Bay".

I really don't like any nicknames that are just initials + numbers.

Gary "Choo-Choo" Neal

My favorite nickname has to be His Airness, just sounds so badass or AK47 because Crhow well it fits. The worst are probably Superman (Shaq or Dwight), The King, and Flash. The name Black Mamba is cool but it's lame how Kobe gave himself a nickname.

Some other good ones:

Hakeem "The Dream"
The Admiral
George "Iceman" Gervin
Human Highlight Reel
Crash (Gerald Wallace)
The Big Fundamental

Oh yeah and Boobie Gibson has to be the worst in the league currently, forgot about that one. I mean seriously, BOOBIE?

The only exception being Kirilenko being that an AK47 is Russian and so is he. Bad ass name.

Agent 0 is by far the best. A f*** you message for haters everyday. Love it!

Then I really like King James or Black Mamba. You can say it is because they have egos. Well, when you're as good as the King or as the Mamba at something you have the right to have an ego!

AK47 of course. Mailman... even tough I can't forget the trash talk that he didn't deliver on Sunday lol.

Which only makes it better. The Mailman gets my vote as best.

AK47, Agent 0, The Glide, The Dream, Mailman, Vinsanity/Air-Canada are great.

I always laugh at Bad Porn. :D

Best:
Earvin Johnson - Magic (when more people know you by your nickname then your real name & it fits how creative you are on the floor...that's pretty good)
Andrei Kirilenko - as others have said..the only initial # combo that fits perfectly
Vince Carter - Vinsanity / Half-Man, Half-Amazing / Air Canada (perfect back in his T.O. days)
Gary Payton - The Glove
Vernon Maxwell - Max Max (seriously dude was crazy..lol)
Clyde Drexler - The Glide (fit his image when he went to the rim and rolls of the tongue well)
edit

Worst:
Larry Johnson - Grandmama (Love the dude, but nickname after a Converse Commercial character...)
Glen Davis - Big Baby and then the self-titled Uno Uno (what in the world...)
Kevin Durant - Durantula (sound like a nickname from a Cereal Box)
Dwight Howard - Superman...c'mon really. It was played out with Shaq and now you got it..no it's Iron Man or whatever....nah man..nah
Derrick Rose - D Rose...really? Thats what you write at a bank, not your nickname
