I'd like answers to two questions that I haven't heard yet. 1:Does AA see Bonifacio as a 2B? I know many of us have pencilled that in, but I'd like to hear their thoughts. Maybe it's happened and I just missed it. 2: Will the increased payroll in any way alter his spending strategy on the draft and IFA? My guess is no as it's mostly hard capped at this point, but since I would attribute so much of AA's success so far to the aggressive approach in those areas I'd like to have him on the record discussing the drafting/signing budget going forward.

Well logically Bonifacio is the starting second baseman if you're paying Cabrera that kind of money. The only other place would be CF and by the time Spring Training approaches, Rasmus I suppose could be traded. Still see him as our Ben Zobrist - someone that will play in multiple positions.

It's a logical inference and one I made as well, but that doesn't mean it's necessarily the case. It could be Colby's on the market right now or it could be they see Boni in Davis' role and he's bait. Heck it could mean they think Boni's a 3B, want to trade Lawrie for Profar, and move Reyes to 2B. I doubt that's the case and counter to my last post, even if it were they wouldn't say so, but I'd like to hear AA speak on the subject anyway so I could do some totally unjustifiable reading between the lines. :D

seems likely, especially if Lind does well in camp.

At least we don't have to worry about Lind seeing any LHP with the platoon man making the lineup card. I think he could bounce back with a decent OPS in a strict platoon but then again, maybe I'm fooling myself here.

Nurse is below average at best.
Masai is overrated.
