Why hasn't Cook been getting minutes? I understand the Rockets don't really need another 3 pt shooter on court, but man someone needs to be punishing teams for trapping Harden so hard.

cook has passed the phase in his career where he's worth 15-20mpg. yeah even on a team like the rockets. those minutes need to go to our young players

that's because asik doesn't have a good hand
he has problem catching passes and finish around the rim other than dunk
team is actually giving him the layup and trapping harden/lin

Derrick Williams was a DNP-CD last night. RIck Adelman doesn't like this guy.
How about WIlliams for Royce White and a second round pick?http://basketball.realgm.com/tradechecker/saved_trade/6162435
Royce is a Minny native and maybe returning home will help his anxiety.

Motiejunas send to NBDL without chance. Rockets fan: this is McHale politic?
Motiejunas last night: 31pts(2pt 12/18 3pt 1/5 ft 4/6) 36min
Asik last season in euroleague 22min 10pts 9reb
Motiejunas last season in euroleague 30min 12pts 8reb
Asik and Motiejunas at similarly level, offcourse Asik is better today, but in near future Donatas will be more better, and i dont understand why houston send him to NBDL , Motiejunas can be better than Barganin and etc, only whats is need is gametime

Re: State of the Roster
how do you not get that he is there so he will get plenty of playing time in the rockets system and will have a chance to get stronger? HE IS THERE SO HE CAN GET THE GAME TIME...he would be buried on the bench not getting any playing time with our main squad
he looked really weak in preseason and got clearly outplayed by terrance jones, and t-jones isn't getting any playing time with our squad either
we aren't playing him in the d-league to hinder his development...we are doing it to make him better
he has a lot of potential and we love his potential, d-league will help him
look at morris...last year he was awful and he was mad he went to the d-league, now he is happy it went there because it made him a better more mature player and now he is a very important part of our rotation
d-league isn't punishment it is an opportunity for him to grow and get pt

Re: State of the Roster
Rockets to have another go at Pau? could be a lot cheaper this time round.
Pat Pat and 1st rounder? PatPats new found love for the corner 3 would suit d'antoni
realistically after the harden trade that first rounder is likely to be 10-14
lin
harden
parsons
gasol
asik
looks like a playoff team. Pau can play minutes at the 5 too.

Gasol makes $19million, Pat makes $2million. Not gonna work.

Re: State of the Roster
Didnt think it would normally be the case but I came across this
Teams below the salary cap may trade without regard to salary, as long as they don't end up more than $100,000 above the cap following a trade.
Teams above the cap (or teams below the cap but would end up more than $100,000 over the cap following a trade) cannot acquire more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary they trade away. Under the 2011 CBA, teams that remain below the luxury tax threshold even after the trade can acquire the lesser of 150% plus $100,000, or 100% plus $5 million, of the salary they trade away.[5] There is no lower limit—teams may divest themselves of as much salary as they wish in a trade.
rockets are still under 39m right?
and i assume lakers are above the cap

the rockets are at 48 million this season. Lakers payroll is at 100 million this season.

Re: State of the Roster
Again, I don't give **** as to how the players did in the Euroleague. Asik is better player and much needed player for the Rockets at this point. I like what I see from Motiejunas and I think he has a place in this league, but it doesn't hurt that he develop his skills and learn to adapt to the NBA. D-Mo fans need to be patient. And I think he will be brought up in the near future.
Sry, I disagree.

You are joking?? NBDL is league of nothing. Lithuania National team coach Jonas Kazlauskas say:
I dont think so, that D-League is that league where he can imporve, play basketball need voltage, if u play for nothing.. training is for that.
Anyway motiejunas is back.
And sorry for bad english, im not from usa

He's back but Motiejunas isn't going to play.
He is still behind Patterson, Asik, Greg Smith, Cole Aldrich, Terrence Jones and Marcus Morris at the 4/5 spot.

seriously please name euroleague big men that immediately had an impact in the nba?
pau pek and even dirk needed a year or 2
you're F****ING DELUSIONAL if you think d-mo is ready now...he is so weak...i want him to play but he has no place on this team yet.......if we trade pat pat (i hope we do) he would still be behind morris t-jones asik smith and aldrich....HE NEEDS PT AND HE WILL GET THAT IN THE D-LEAGUE it isn't a punishment just ask morris it helps players with their development......hence the name DEVELOPMENTAL LEAGUE
he will be good and could be great but the dude needs some time...d-league will let him build confidence and get some time with the system
but you are obviously a fanboy that thinks being something in euroleagues gets you some standing over here....look at all the failures from euroleagues that tried to make it here.....d-mo has potential, but that doesn't give him reason to play here he needs to earn it
nba scrubs become euroleague stars....just saying ( i actually like FIBA rules more than nba rules for the most part)

I totally agree. Every NBA player hates being sent to d-league. But if they're barely getting garbage time in the NBA, they're not going to develop as much just doing drills and scrimmaging against your teammates. D-League is competitive, players are playing their butts off because they're all trying their hardest to make it.
