The title of this thread is ceiling dude. I for one didnt say he was on that level only that he could be based on getting a reliable jumper. As active as Hill is, it isnt a stretch to believe he can average 10-11 rebs a game. Its not like Im saying Earl Clark has Lebron potential. The comparison is fair and you really havent brought anything to the table to go against it. You went as far to make a statement to insinuate that Grant was a great offensive player when he was nothing more than a scrapper and great midrange hitter on teams with some of the greatest scorers in history.

But developing a reliable jumper is not a small thing. It's pretty flimsy to look at those per 36 numbers and just blow off the difference in shooting efficiency, especially when we've seen nothing but mediocrity from Jordan in that facet of his game. There's an absolutely gigantic difference between the two in that regard. Let alone the fact Horace was actually playing 36 minutes in those days, whereas Jordan has never even averaged 20. Or that Grant was an all-league defensive player. You're talking about a huge, huge shift in ability and role, so great that it's not even worth comparing the two, even in a thread about ceiling.

From my knowledge he hasnt been in a situation where he was allowed to flourish. I dont think dude has had a steady situation til now. Im not guaranteeing anything and only saying its very possible but thats up to his work ethic. Also he's playing behind Pau Gasol, when he's played extended minutes even tho its small sample size he did well.

Yeah, that makes zero sense. He's never going to be much more than what he is, but there's no way he's not worth 15 minutes a night.

He wanted to play Jamison at his natural position at PF and Jamison played great today, even did ok on defense with Z-BO.

He basically went Orlando Magic with the bench unit and Dwight. There's no room for Hill in the offense when we want to get back with 3s.

He has two good backups in Hill-Jamison, why not cut Gasol-Howard's minutes and assign each a backup partner?
