GT: Spurs vs. Raptors

Post#1 » by Nolan » Sun Nov 25, 2012 7:19 am

When: 1:00 PM ET, November 25, 2012
Where: Air Canada Centre, Toronto, ON

Starting Lineups:

Spurs:
PG - Tony Parker
SG - Gary Neal
SF - Danny Green
PF - Tim Duncan
C - DeJuan Blair

Raptors:
PG - Kyle Lowry
SG - Demar Derozan
SF - Dominic McGuire
PF - Andrea Bargnani
C - Jonas Valanciunas

Well we've won the first two games of this six game road trip and this game against Toronto is one we should definitely win as well.

This is a team we should beat easily, but Bargnani has been heating up over the last 3 games and if he gets hot we could be in for an interesting afternoon.

Go Spurs!!

This has trap game written all over it, nevertheless the Spurs busted a trap game in Indiana.

Knowing the Raps though they'll find a way to lose it even when they're up 8 with a minute to go.

Solid, but I know Raptor fans are expecting him to be something great in the future right?

Personally, I'm not seeing what would make him special right now. He looks somewhat like Splitter in the sense that he gets the rebounds he's supposed to get, great motor, he's got good touch around the basket, posted Duncan up a couple of times but doesn't look like he has a great footwork/low post game.

Looks to me like a solid Center and probably an above average Center in the future, but nothing that screams franchise caliber or someone to build around.

This was a game I thought we'd lose. I just hope we don't lose againts winless Washington tomorrow. I have a feeling Pop will rest guys on that game.

Thanks Nolan & co_laper!

Stayed tuned co_laper... us Raps fan think that JV will be a franchise guy. He's only 20. He's raw but has some skills... just needs size:

I doubt he's going to be a franchise type guy. I think he's going to be a bigger version of Noah, I doubt thats going to satisfy Raps fans but players like that are very rare and very valuable.

Noah is a fair comparison. JV can be a Noah/Tyson Chandler guy with better offensive skills. He has a decent short jumpshot. That's borderline franchise imo. We'll see.

Good luck against OKC guys
