Need trade advice!

Post#1 » by L3GEND4RY » Tue Nov 27, 2012 6:29 am

So I'm currently second in my league(12 man/h2h) and only three games back. Problem is, is that I have a good amount of bigs, but just not enough three point shooting to go along with that. Irving is out for a few weeks and Jeff Green has been a huge disappointment.

Jason Terry & Joe Johnson are available, but the guy wants David Lee and Boozer. Really reluctant to make that trade. Any suggestions?

My roster:
C/PF:
D. Howard
A. Drummond
D. Lee
G. Davis
O. Asik
C. Boozer
K. Faried

PG/SG:
K. Irving(INJ)
E. Bledsoe
B. Beal
J. Holiday

SF:
M. Kidd-Gilchrist
J. Green
C. Butler

I've always been against trying to reach for all the categories. When you do that, you ultimately end up being a little good at everything but mediocre at everything because you spread yourself too thin.

You already have a team that is built around a big-men core. Why go for treys? Adding 1-2 players who shoot 3 pointers will not help you win against teams who are built for threes. Meanwhile, you weaken the one advantage you already have which are big-men stats.

Rather, I would try to focus on strengthening the core cats that you should already be good at such as FG%, rebounds, blocks, etc. (big-men focused). Just a quick glance of your team, it looks like you need to beef up your points and steals. I would rather focus on building to your team's strengths rather than spreading yourself thinner.

12 teams? Wait for your next year. Your roster is turrible.
