Raptors trade rumor.. Any legs to this?

Post#1 » by Live Free » Mon Nov 26, 2012 8:00 pm

Legit poster on the Raps board claims his sources say a trade is in the works.

Bargnani Calderon (10mil expiring) for Evans Robinson Salmons

Could there be any truth to this?

Tyreke seems to just be finding his stride this year, robinson was just drafted in the top 5, while itd be great to shed salmons its nearly as bad talking on Bargs who has been disappointing this year. As a fan I wouldn't be thrilled with this move.

I see zero chance this trade happens, especially with us trading Robinson all ready. Just doesn't make sense.

If we wanted a stretch 4 that badly I don't see why we wouldn't have ditched JT and picked up Ryan Anderson over the summer.

I don't know, the more I look at it I see it not being so awful. The only part I don't like about it is that they're giving up Salmons who is still at least an amnesty candidate. Tyreke is clearly the highest potential player in the deal and the Kings give up a potential 20 and 10 player in the future, but the truth is he'll NEVER be that here. Never. Rather that be JT in the deal with a little more compensation for the Kings on the other end.

All in all, not really that far off IMO because you have to expect TRobs value to be low considering how he's been used.

^Don't fall for the Bargnani trap. In all likelihood Bargs would be coming of the bench behind JT and spending 10/11/12 over the next 3 years on a backup, injury prone, 34% three point specialist is crazy.

While this just about makes me sick, it would be atypical Petrie move for yet another "euro" player inan attempt to resurrect what he had in Vlade.

There is absolutely no way the Kings would trade T-Rob that soon into the season. No way. Take him out and I could see it maybe passing, though.

Besides it being a bad deal, I really wouldn't want to see Tyreke in Toronto.

That, or add Terrance Ross on Torono's side.

I'd take Calderon, but only for Garcia, Outlaw, or something reasonable, but Reke stays!

With the way Reke has been playing the last couple of weeks, this trade went from bad to eye-gouging horrific.

Especially, when Bargs is playing horribly... and he's the centerpiece of this deal on Toronto's side.

i'd get bargs to pair with tyreke and cousins, not at the expense of one of them.

if we're looking for a stretch 4--which we should be--troy murphy just got waived.

Return to Sacramento Kings
