Minor surgery for Janssen - ready for spring

Jays announce Casey Janssen had minor shoulder surgery (AC joint) on Nov. 16 and will be ready for spring training.

Shaved his clavicle to eliminate a source of irritation

Jays do not say how long Janssen had experienced the "discomfort," only that he was having "lingering soreness."

Who hasn't had surgery in 2012? Hurly Buehrle?

There's no such thing as minor surgery when it comes to the Jays. Also, "lingering soreness" is usually a precursor to something much bigger when it comes to Jays pitching. Hopefully he really does get better or else that's a huge blow to the bullpen. We have no idea what we'll get from Santos this year, so losing Casey for any amount of time will decimate the back end of that bullpen.
