TMU wrote:Again, I don't give **** as to how the players did in the Euroleague. Asik is better player and much needed player for the Rockets at this point. I like what I see from Motiejunas and I think he has a place in this league, but it doesn't hurt that he develop his skills and learn to adapt to the NBA. D-Mo fans need to be patient. And I think he will be brought up in the near future.

Sry, I disagree.

To follow up your point his performance in the Euroleague only matters in context. You have to really sit down and watch his performances against NBA caliber players to get somewhat of an idea of how good he can be. Throw out the rest.

Would the rockets trade Harden for Love ? I know it's unlikely to go down in real life but still do you think it makes your team better? And who cares about your glut of PFs.

I wouldn't trade Harden for Love...I value Harden's ability to put the ball on the floor and create for himself and others more than what Love brings to the table. Plus Love looks like he's back to being fat again so yeah.

just thought of something....what are we doing? i love all our players and hope our rooks turn into something, but we have max capspace this offseason...what will we do with it?

we won't get dwight or cp3. all the other "top free agents" are power forwards like millsap jefferson and smith....i like all 3 but honestly i would rather develop jones and motie and pf is our deepest position with several players with extremely high ceilings (maybe if we picked up millsap cheap and only kept one of motie or jones...i really like millsap because he's from monroe AND went to la tech, go bulldogs!!! millsap brought the school back from the disgrace of having someone as horrible as malone go there)

but anyways...will we overspend for backups like jarrett jack (better than lin and i want him on our team so bad) and jj reddick? we definitely need to make a trade or win big in the draft

Jazz fan here; didn't see a trades thread but this seemed like as good a place as any: would the Rockets be interested in Paul Millsap? If so, what would be a fair trade?

Jazz would probably need a big in return who can play 10-15 minutes a night as part of the deal.

Most replies would be to wait until the offseason...but stranger things have happened so I will play along!

I think that an in-season move you might see would consist of Patterson, Aldrich and either Delfino or Douglas.

I don't think that you'd see picks involved.

This move does nothing because we are would still be in the same place in needing another player. I do think Love is the better player but not that much and not enough to make the trade. Rather see what the Rookies do then bury them even fur on the bench. Now you want to make moves so that we keep Harden and get Love then I am interested but I doubt they would do that because you don't hire Rick and not try to win.

I am all for developing the rookies but to do that we need to find a new home for Patterson. Now if someone like LMA or Cousins is out there? Doubt Cousins will be but LMA there just might be a chance. I would like to have both Jack and Reddick but hope we would not have to throw crazy money at them since they are just bench role players. Now I would want to have Jack since he can start if Lin turns out to be just another Cato (by no means am I saying he is or will be).

Yes but not worth giving up anything of true value for. He will not make us that much better and he will be a free agent.

I haven't heard anything, but Bargnani would be an intriguing fit next to Asik.

We don't exactly have a lot of picks to trade tho, do we?

Would not give anything up for Bargnani. Nothing of any value what so ever. We need a 3 point shooter but not a the PF spot and not Bargnani

I agree Barg is a nice fit nice to Asik though.

Would help us space the floor and give the Rockets a #2 behind Harden.

Don't like his contract however.

3 yrs/30 mil for an average player. A bench player. A specialist. Pass, plus this screws up the cap flexibility. Now Calderon then yes.

There's no way Morey is dumb enough to trade for Bargs. I don't believe it for a second.

Millsap I'd like on the Rockets, but wouldn't be willing to give up much since he's expiring. A team that's closer to contending might be more willing to give up their young talent/picks for Millsap.

Is Millsap that much better than Carl Landry? They are both undersized, but Landry doesn't rebound nearly as well defensively. On the offensive glass however, Landry does very well. For the same money, we get as potent a scorer with more motivated defense. Plus we make Kam happy.

Milsap, Smith, Bargs, Jefferson, Granger, Iggy, Nene, Gasol etc are all pieces you add after you have gotten your second core piece to pair with Harden IMO.

I would hoard all of our assets and just wait till Love, LMA, Rondo, Cousins or whomever becomes available.

Millsap is a way better rebounder and probably has more range than Landry.

I'm sick of our PG constantly outrebounding the PF on this team.
