Blatche never could answer any of the questions and the interviewers couldn't give examples.
This was purely a ratings grab and they were trying to just get "mad" to get "mad"
Blatche is a huge knucklehead. He deserved all the booos he got, but he is also a human and should have been shown some respect.
I thought he took responsibility for his actions. Sometimes you need a change or the possibility of loosing something you love before you realize you can't get by on potential alone. I hope he has a great career in Brooklyn. It's obvious our Organization could not "handle" him.
I watched that 30/30 special "Broke". In the end, these are young kids...given fast wealth...with little preparation. Our normal is not his normal.
I agree, noworriesinmd.
Blatche can gain perspective in time and he might get wiser. I root for him to do well, too.
I agree this organization could not handle him. Flip Saunders LOVED Andray Blatche, but once Flip was fired Blatche became the pariah. One minute they give the guy undue praise, too much rope, and the next minute they hang him after a lockout start. He's not the first pro to come in out of shape. The Wizards should have suspended quietly fined him and not played him much due to conditioning early on, instead of going off on him after he hurt his calf. The fans went all in on the players, because this organization fosters that response. Nothing ever stuck to Ernie Grunfeld before THiS season.
Young guys make young guy mistakes. Smart organizations figure out how to manage egos and personalities. Metta World Peace didn't last in Indiana, but he's a world champion. The old Spurs tolerate a season of Rodman, but Chuck Daly and Phil Jackson won multiple championships with him. Players like Pippen and Jordan tolerated him. Blatche will be JUST FINE with Joe Johnson, Deron Williams, Gerald Wallace, and another unpopular guy, Kris Humphries. Avery Johnson is the right coach for Andray Blatche.
Blatche can now be a very useful role player for many years to come.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.
