Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
I am in favor of a huge roster overhaul and I hope it begins with selling off a lot of crap in the winter transfer window. There are probably at least dozen players under contract that we're better off permanently getting rid of.
As far as players to buy, I'd like to see a veteran keeper to be a #2 behind Szczesny, a 4th center back that is better than Djourou, and I would love to get Lewandowski, although I don't see that happening. I'm still torn on potential midfield acquisitions...

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
2nd game in a row we've subbed a striker for a defensive minded player , such mediocrity and mid table mentality showed by wenger , I'll always respect him but dude's losing it.
Needed a defensive midfielder for the last like what 8 years? and he's stuck to handicap diaby so stubborn

Meh, draw against Villa was a bad result. Draw away against Everton I'll take. They're a good side, and they played very well.
Don't get all the Ramsey hate, to be honest. Thought he was our best player, and only one showing any inventiveness or urgency, against Villa. Didn't think he was bad yesterday either, especially for being played on the wing again.

huntelaar seems pretty definite though. a fairly low priced dutch international isn't something we'll pass on even though he's just a somewhat better version of giroud
Do Arsenal have 25+ to try and get Hunter? Cause I can't imagine Schalke would sell him for less than the CL money they'd lose without him.

Brunson: So what are you paid to do?
Hart: Run around like an idiot during the game and f*** s*** up!

You might want to take a quick gander at his contract.

You might want to take a quick gander at his contract.
And you might want to check out the BL standings and how much participating in the CL is worth. If Hunter walks in the summer but they qualify for the CL, that's a lot more money than if they sell him for 10-15 mil in the winter but miss out on the CL next season, without even adding the payout for surviving a knockout round or two.
And make no mistake, they will miss out on the CL if they head out of the winter break with Pukki and Marica as their only strikers. They're just a point ahead of Frankfurt, two ahead of Mainz, three ahead of Stuttgart and four ahead of Werder, Gladbach and Hamburg.
So selling Huntelaar for anything less than 25 mil this winter makes absolutely no sense for a club reliant on the CL to balance their books and pay their debts.

Arsenal shouldn't be losing home games like that.
Is Diaby still injured?

Yep, with no return in sight either. It's unfortunate, but he's done. It all stems from one horrible tackle years ago, but now a small injury from just kicking a ball puts him out for months.
Wenger says there'll be a couple signings in january, better be good!

I miss the days where United, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Arsenal were all great teams. Those days were fun. Now we are simply stuck with the Machester derby

Strange indeed.
Except may be Podolski, Arteta and Cazorla I don't think anyone's really played constantly either.

He probably still thinks Diaby is the next Patrick Viera and that Ramsey will be better than Giggs ever was...

Arsene, June 2011 "Imagine the worst situation - we lose Fabregas and Nasri - you cannot convince people you are ambitious after that."
lol and now he thinks we're in fantastic shape , people love to say the management is the problem and I agree , I just think wenger is on their side. If he really didn't agree with the situations he's been put in he would have stood up a long time ago , but he's a board member by default now
