That Devon White quote gets me every time:

"It came easy". LOL. Sure didn't look easy. Without the baggy padding back in those days he's probably knocked unconscious making that play.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Gruber got him on the heel, sure. But it was a bonehead play to keep that ball - he had plenty of time to toss it on to 2nd for the easy play. I still blame him more than the ump.
Is anybody here a marine biologist?

LOL, I remember that play like it was yesterday. As a fan on one hand you were pissed at the ump for the bad call, but we all knew at the time Gruber made the wrong play. And it always bugs me how in these videos afterwards Gruber just says he "thinks" he got him. He obviously isn't very sure.

From the '89 year-in-review video, "Sky High":

Love me some Tony Fernandez... Nice to hear Tom Cheek's voice again too. I used to own that VHS and find it funny that someone is hawking it on Amazon now for $70! Wonder if I can still dig mine out!

I missed these videos the first time they were posted and now they're removed. Any chance somebody can re-post the video with Alfredo Griffin and the rest of the team swinging a everything in order to avoid the game getting postponed?

Nurse is below average at best.
Masai is overrated.
