are you alluding to my thoughts on D12? I know how the salary cap works. Prokhorov has stated he doesnt care about luxury taxes, he doesnt care about what it costs to get fans in the stands. Hes said that any luxury tax he pays, is irrelevant because it depends on how much money hes making from the fans in the stands/playoffs/jersey sales, etc.

They signed Lopez right? Lopez is having a really good year right now. 19 PPG and 6 REB. Hes being paid 60 million over 4 years (15 million a year). THATS CHEAP. DIRT if he keeps these numbers up. Right now hes averaging more than D12 PPG (D12 is 18/10).

I wouldnt be surprised to see them trade him after hes built up some value and then go after D12.

its totally plausible, and im not the only one saying it. Lets assume Lopez has a good year and stays healthy. a 19/6 guy for 15 million a year in the NBA?? LOL SIGN ME UP. Trade his ass to ATL, Boston, ANYONE would take him. The nets could get SO MUCH for him from Draft picks to bench players, whatever. THEN they can max out D12.

I still think D12 is in play to go to Brooklyn unless the Lakers really make a deep run in the playoffs. The Lakers look terrible going forward. Old, no bench, no draft picks (all traded away). Does D12 want to be on a team aging FAST with Kobe likely to be gone in 1-2 years? Hell be right back where he was in ORLANDO, big fish in a bigger pond, but still a crappy team.

In Brooklyn, hes set for 5-6 years with Dwill and whatever else the Nets can get

The problem is that even if the Nets traded Lopez for thin air they'd still be above the luxury tax (not even going to equate capholds and the like that take them further up) and as a rule in the new CBA teams above it can't receive sign and traded players. Doesn't matter who says they'll pay what, the owners implemented this rule to prevent tax teams from just continuing to add payroll despite their ability to pay it like before.

Right now, I have to think that Dwight Howard would prefer to play with THIS Hawks team rather than THAT Laker one.

Horford (at PF) and Smith (at SF), with Teague running the show and Korver bombing from outside?
--- or ---
Kobe, Gasol and ___________
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

Just had a chat over the phone with D12 and indeed, he is confirming that he would love to play for ATL. Especially if they keep his buddies: Smoothe, Lou and AM.
See you next year!

I think Dwight would rather play here, but that's because he's softminded and I don't think he can handle Kobe demanding that he actually be a professional.

Dwight's damn lucky he's so naturally gifted, if he had Horford's natural gifts he'd be Andray Blatche.

He might also get out of LA if Kobe keeps on shooting 30 times a game => less touches for D12
ATL unselfish and fun way of playing + friends become more appealing...
