i am sure this is probably being talked about on the GB (havent looked on GB, although its two teams that nobody cares about), but did anyone catch the end of the nuggets warriors game last night? the officials were atrocious at the end of that game. they made 3 incorrect calls in favor of the nuggets in the last 5 seconds of the game. all three went to replay. they only overturned 1 of the 3 incorrect calls.

1) iggy comes down the court with about 5 seconds, warriors leading by 3. jarret jack wraps up iggy outside the 3pt line (foul to give). iggy then proceeds to pretend like he is shooting after he is fouled. the officials call it a shooting foul. then they go to replay, call stands, shooting foul. apparently the replay can only change if it was a 2 or a 3. horrible call. iggy makes 2 of 3.

2) after iggy missed the 3rd ft, the ball gets knocked out of bounds to denver. denver inbounds, trying to get the ball to lawson. curry and lawson both go for the ball but it glances off lawson's hands last and goes out of bounds again. refs call it denver ball. they go to replay and they do not overturn the call. not enough evidence to overturn.

3). denver has the ball with .5 seconds left, down one. they throw the ball in to iggy who catches it at the 3pt line, does a pump fake and then shots a 3pter and makes the shot. the refs call the basket good when it was clearly not good. they go to replay for a 3rd time and finally make a correct call, the warriors win.

it was absolutely absurd officiating.

Sarcasm? I feel like I've seen people call you Sweed several times...though I'm pretty sure it was on BCP.

My name used to be perfectly indicative of my viewing situation...not this year though :D

Yeah I watched it live, at first I thought an argument could be made but when I saw the replay it was pretty clear the shot was after the foul. How bad was that call though with the ref 10 feet away? The ball should've been the Warriors' too after the missed free throw. The last call doesn't bother me though, I think with it being that close you have to call as if it were live and then use the replay to decide. I don't think you could make that call for certain without the aid of replay.

agreed about the last call. it was just funny after the previous two missed calls (with replay). i wasnt convinced at that point the refs would change the call. thankfully they did.

david lee was in beast mode last night.

That game was a lot better than the Spurs game.

My respect for A-Woj just went a little bit.

The game wasn't decide until the final minute or so. I'm not sure how that kind of game hurts the league.

he made the announcement before the game. also if you only got to go to one game this year and our stars (lol) weren't there and weren't injured, would you feel bad?

No, I'd sit back and watch Diop, Reggie, and Higgins hang within five against the Heat. In some ways, that's even better.

not if you've got one of the best teams in the league.

don't we all want the two last pictures to actually happen in real life? There isn't a referee I hate more than Crawford. Heck, I don't even know, if I truly "hate" another official in the league.

"Lakers Game Postponed As Rocket Kills Referee Crawford" - wouldn't that be a great headline to start your day with.

I think Violet Palmer takes the cake for my worst ref. Any time she officiates a game with Lebron or Dwight forget about trying to guard them. They get every ticky tack foul in the book.
Mike Malone was never given a fair chance in Sacramento, and Ranadive will soon come to regret that, when he's on top of the WC inevitably contending somewhere

i used to think this was true, but i swear it seems like every game she officiates that i watch is a total mess.

Violet Palmer is a horrible referee. I'm not saying that because she's a woman. I'm saying that because every game that I notice a lot of questionable calls, then I begin to look for the refs, and there she appears. Especially when a superstar player is involved, she'll find a way to raise eyebrows. Nowadays, it's become almost inevitable
