OK . . . last post for a while,

but it was DSN who pretended to have connections to realGM and wanted to be a mod real bad. He posted photos at one draft event. I remember how pissed Sofoklis looked when he went undrafted till #35 or something like that.

Remember all the guys who wanted the Greek Shaq?

/ / /

and, remember Keith Van Horn and all the nicknames. Mr. Softee was most common and Span did a photoshop merging KVH with this;

I was thinking the same thing after I read that thread shpati dug up. Optimus wasn't half as bad as bad as Mugzi.

HK first broke the Howard Eisley/Shandon Anderson trade, which, at the time, some of us were excited about.

That was big at the time. But he didn't like the attention so he got out of the "breaking the news before it broke" business.

oh my god!!!

i forgot about this... who was it that kept reassuring us through his "infos" that LeBron was still coming to NY leading up to the decision?

on a related note of leaking infos,

remember when some guy said he sat next to danny ferry at a cavs game and he was able to read his texts? And that Ferry was interested in Lee at the time?

I'd like to also take credit for creating the nickname "The Doorman" for Eddy Curry and then passing it on to David Lee.

The powers that be just tried too hard to steer what was being talked about on here without realizing that the traffic and the things that made this forum different were going to take a hit. You need to have opposing opinions to have really good conversation... it can't be so one sided to the point where everyone agrees.

I miss TheBluest's nick names for players/coaches like

MIKE D'ANTONEY DOUGLAS

EDDY MICHAEL CURRY POWDER

I can't think of any of the other classic ones

Also I remember when everybody was coming up for nicknames for David Lee other than DLee... We got DLee (Daily) Hustle & "DaWhite Howard" among the favorites

Yea I remember that. I believe it was the piston fan comboguard and mugzi (not sure if it was mugzi though). That was internet tough guy at its best.

I have found the thread. I got lucky.

Funny stuff.

JCBIGSIS was infact Jamals sister. She provided some childhood pics and confirmed identity with the mods.
