Al Jefferson is nowhere near worth Deng AND a potential lottery pick.

He is not worth either thing, let alone both. Dreadful.

And he only makes $3M a year more than Humph, whom I assume we would have to take back. For $12M a year Humph is giving them 8 points & 8 boards a game. Reggie Evans actually plays meaningful minutes at the 4 spot for them.

If I were the Nets, I'd easily swap Humph for Boozer. Nets would get the better player, and Chicago can continue to penny pinch.

i dont know if

dwill
joe johnson
gerald wallace
boozer
lopez

can survive vs the heat.

they will have to improve their bench significantly to compete with the heat in the ECF.
they should try to get anthony morrow or kyle korver from the hawks. maybe get a defensive big to complement lopez and boozer

Guess what. We should make that trade and unload Rip and get Redick or Kyle back or Morrow or another 3 pt shooter and a bench big because

Rose/Kirk
Redick/ Morrow or Kyle
Deng/Jimmy
Hump/Taj
Noah/ ?

Nate 6th man

is a better lineup than that Brooklyn one. With a better bench. That Brooklyn team would have the worst defensive frontcourt in the NBA. NO CHANCE.

I strongly disagree about it being better than Brooklyn. Morrow sucks. He was a product of GSWs system and since he left it, he's been garbage. Hump is a downgrade from Boozer. Reddick is nowhere enough to put you over the top. That team is a 2nd round contender at most.

Did someone really ask for CJ. Miles in a trade? Statistically he's one of the 10 worst players in the league. I know people are desperate to move Rip and Boozer, but lets not be crazy.

We have people asking for CJ Miles, Al Jefferson, Anthony Morrow(still), Alec Burks, but these are the same people who don't want Melo.

I don't want any trade that doesn't end up with the best player in the deal on the Bulls. So no to most all of this. If Kardashian suits up for the Bulls, I tune out. He's one of the very few players that would be more annoying to watch than Boozer.

Brooks actually looked really solid in stretches last year and is currently rotting away on the NJ bench. I feel with the right coaching and system, he could become a very solid starter and possibly 2nd/3rd scorer.

I like the idea but we all know the bulls will end up trading rip for cap space, keeping boozer until he can get amnestied and saving more money next year. Maybe we can do like Miami and get a ray Allen for the min or sumtin

Yeah, if they're in win now mode we might be able to move Rip to BKN instead of a 1st. Booz and Rip for Humpf and Brooks sounds too good to be true. I mean they're the ones doing us a favor in taking that Albatross..

On paper, that's actually a better deal for NJ.

Nets asked about Boozer and Belinelli. Interest in Boozer is mild. I heard Orlando has interest in Boozer too. With Hamilton I heard the Cavs.

I also heard we've been talking to the Suns about Gortat and Dudley. The Bulls feel Noah can play PF just fine. Al Jefferson is being talked about as well

Before the Raptors signed Pietrus they called us about Belinelli

There's some other stuff too but that's the basics. I'd have to scroll through my text but I think Redick was talked about as well.

I know the Bulls, Bucks and Kings were talking some three way where the Bulls got Jimmer.

I can confirm through my source that the Orlando Magic have indeed been "SCOUTING" Boozer and would be an ideal trading partner with Bulls due to all the trade exceptions they have available from the Howard trade

 Then "strongly disagree".. I couldn't care less. I say we would be better than them and win a series, you say we wouldn't. I hope we get to find out. They are hot right now but that will change. We are not and that will change too.

Morrow can still shoot, he's shooting .533 from 3 pt this year. That's all we need him for. The important part is getting rid of Boozer's albatross looking forward. We're better at the 1, 3 and 5. Lopez can't rebound or defend very well, Boozer next to him makes that frontcourt D a joke. Humphries is a joke but at least he tries on defense, rotates and has some energy. Taj would be our starter anyway nd the numbers show our starting lineup loses a whopping 1.2 points per100 poss with Taj instead of Boozer but is over 10 pts better on defense. We'd be a better team with Taj starting and we could get away with Humphries on the bench for a year.

You're forgetting how great Derrick actually is.

Even if we gave them Boozer and that was their lineup, how the hell is Boozer ever gonna score vs. Taj and Noah? They practice with him and know his BS moves. I would love to see that match up play out.

I have been one of the posters defending Boozer, while calling for the board to be patient as GarPax go forth with their plan.

The worst case scenario has always been the Bulls simply using the amnesty on Boozer, but I always believed that he had some trade value to other teams. That value is not seen from some on this board, but you two guys are confirming my thoughts. Orlando (like other bottom NBA teams) will be hard-pressed to land any big free-agents, so they have to trade for any that they get. New Jersey has money to burn, so a reuniting of D-Will & Boozer makes a ton of sense.

I will be a very happy man if we're able to get back expirings and/or trade exceptions for Boozer. It opens up massive possibilities for our team moving forward with a core of Rose, Noah, & Taj. We will have plenty of available money to go along with other trade assets that include the Bobcats pick & Luol Deng's expiring contract.

That would be great. If the Nets take Boozer off our hands, I'll be glad.. if can get Marshon for a pick even better.

1)You don't know how Derrick is going to come back. No one does. I think it's irresponsible to say I forgot how great Derrick was as it has very little to do with how great Derrick IS GOING TO BE.

2)Let's see:
Deron Williams = Derrick Rose(this is giving DR the benefit of the doubt, but he could also come back stronger)
Joe Johnson/Rip Hamilton >>> Reddick/Morrow/Marshon
Gerald Wallace > Deng
Carlos Boozer >> Taj Gibson(who still has no offense) & Kris Humphries
Brook Lopez < Noah

The team you want rivals the 07 Bulls level of good. And yes, that team was crap.

Return to Chicago Bulls
