I heard Lee, Sullinger, and an unprotected pick through 2014 is the package for Gortat. Ainge refuses to include Bradley the same way he refused to include Rondo in the KG trade. I love this! I was also told that Phoenix has already started phasing Gortat out...I looked at Box Scores following hearing this and it does seem like Gortat is getting less minutes and Jermaine O'Neal and the younger players are getting more and more mins.

This is super exciting!!! OMG. Gortat would be huge for the C's.

Look at this trade from PHXs perspective. We would be giving up an above average, starting C on a great contract for Sully (who was a late first round pick, and we already have a glut of Fs), Lee (an average guard whose production can easily be reproduced, oh and we also passed on signing him during the preseason), and a late first. Why on earth would we agree to this deal? That is terrible return for a C that can put up 15/10/2 a game. Please take off your homer goggles and see how bad of a trade this is

Yep - hard to see Sully being the best offer Phoenix could get for Gortat. He's young enough that more than just contenders/playoff teams will come knocking.

I don't know about "glut of forwards." Scola's 32, Frye's not starter's quality, Beasley's a sf, and Morris is pretty meh.

Agreed. It is only game 15 if I may...

I loved Pietrus on your team. Don't know why you did not bring him back. It must be something we as fans are not privly to and personal. Had to be...he was a great fit.

I am aghast as to why your team does not or has not incorporated Jeff Green into your system better? I am a big Jeff Green fan. Hope his heart is ok...

Relax, when Bradley returns your team is on an upturn. Not sure if Josh Howard could have helped you, and yes the Courtney Lee was worth the gamble he better wake up. I wonder if he and Rondo get along?

And absolutely you should get another stretch 4 and could have brought Blatche in and even look to bring back Harangody and over Troy Murphy.

We have Drew Gooden or even Mbah a Moute perhaps for sale... which if I was the Bucks I would ask for in exchange for Lee and Green and filler? Mike Dunleavy could help you out too...for a modest fee.

I'd happily swap Green and Lee for Moute and Dunleavy, but Gooden for 2.5 years is a bitter pill to swallow! How about Green/Lee/Melo for Moute/Dunleavy/Dalembert?

Over

trading for Lee, Signing Jeff Green and signing Collins/Darko

I vote True..

Etwaun was my binkie. He was built for the Celtics IMO. I didn't knock the trade at the time but had my doubts.
Pietrus is another guy who fed off the energy of the crowd, played off Rondo and KG well and was arguably a better fit (not a better player) for the Celtics over Jeff Green. And finally....Blatche. I don't know if Danny had interest or if Danny was simply scared off by his troubled past....but is there any denying that Blatche would have been outstanding either starting alongside KG or as the first big off the bench??? Celtics need a 6'11 skilled bigman like you read about....They could have had it on the cheap in Blatche. Instead they brought in 2 stiffs, 1 of which is already gone.

You would also need to put in Barbosa as well...can't cherry pick on this. Besides that its 15 games in, and can we please please please please stop lamenting over the loss of JJJ and Etwaun? Lee and Green will contribute more than ETwaun JJJ and Pietrus is spelled by Barbosa. Collins is a good post defender but I agree Blatche would have been a better option. I vote false by a large margin...relax please

But they are still on the roster and Sullinger is not an upgrade over any of them.

This.

We had Pietrus and E'Twan and were absolutely horrendous last year before Bradley became a starter. Almost unwatchable. Too early to tell. I'll grant you that Green's character seems unsuitable for the long run but I'm still reserving judgement on the team as a whole.
