Also you Pat Pat haters need to apologize.
He's our best post scorer, one of our best mid range shooter and has developed a nice 3pt shot. He's an important component on this team as a floor spacer/scorer.
If and when Dmo ever develop a consistent mid range shot like patterson, he will see some playing time. Also playing good PnR defense would help.

those two late blocks by Asik were huge...Lin with his best game...seemed like he was going to the hoop with confidence.

i was hating on him, but i won't apologize...he was playing weak and bad, and the other players have a much higher ceiling
if we are winning and in the playoff hunt i definitely want pat pat in there backed up by morris and jones, but if we are losing i would like to get value for him and start playing the high ceiling guys
i still love pat pat. i just like jones more, d-mo's POTENTIAL FUTURE wayyyy more, and think morris could be what pat pat is currently in a year and maybe a lot more

Morris can space the floor like Pat but he's even smaller, a worse defender and i have never seen him make a move in the post. Even in his rookie year, Patterson showed really nice touch and footwork in the paint.
I see Morris future in the NBA as a wing.
I like T Jones. I like his size, his athleticism, his potential, his ability to handle the ball, his speed in the open court. He'll get there one day. Maybe not this year.
I'm less sure about Dmo. I think he is atleast another 2 years from being able to contribute. Need a more consistent shot and more meat on his bone. Its vital for a big man to be able to bang in the post. Dmo can't do that.
I have absolutely no expectation for Royce White.

For a minute there we had a second unit of Morris, Parsons, Smith, Douglas and Delfino.
It was a nice offensive/defensive balance. I wonder what our numbers were with that second unit on the floor?
Regardless, good times guys.

I was a huge Patterson hater, to the extent where I thought he was the worst big man getting significant minutes in the NBA last season - BUT he arguably was with his lack of rebounding, mediocre D, and overall inefficiency.
But I'll be the first to admit, he has recently made huge strides...a big part of his inefficiency was long range 2's, and inability to get to the line (plus being really inconsistent with his shot UNLIKE his rookie season where he was money). But his three point stroke has looked much better (where in today's game, I was actually expecting his attempts to go in)...and he's at least gone to the line in these past couple games at a slightly higher rate than he did earlier in the season...then consider he has seemed to regain some of that touch...offensively, Patterson has looked real smooth. Perhaps last seasons play, and very early in this season was due to injuries, but since he was on the court playing, his play was open for criticism. 19.6 PPG on TERRIFIC efficiency the last 6 games (62 TS%).
And defensively, he's tremendously improved IMO as well. I don't recall his defense being that impactful last season..his man D looks stronger for sure. That's something I think he has a huge edge over Morris...in fact Patterson covers both the perimeter and the post defensively than Morris.

Yeah, he was terrible today..he could barely catch the ball cleanly.
@Zubby...good call on Holiday. He's been balling. I'm not surprised by the PPG, especially with how his role has expanded, but he's never shown the type of playmaking ability to be a guy to average 9+ assists. If he could sustain that, it'd be hard to beat, even though Asik has improved by nearly double figures in points and 6-7+ in boards.
And no comment on that dunk by Harden? That was nasty..for those who missed it.

I liked how he just waited for Hayward to almost catch up before he flushed it.

I agree 100% on holiday being up there.
And of course, Carl Landry deserves to be in the conversation for 6th man. Him or Crawford.

I wasn't able to watch the game, but looking at the box score, I love the balanced scoring and especially the efficiency. The 5 starters shot 44% or higher. 7 players had double digits. It's going to much more difficult to stop the Rockets when everyone is being efficient with the ball!
