Seriously, pay attention to him when he is in the lane on free throws. He's just a character man, its great
btw, I think it was a fan that said that to him. I brought it up in the game thread, it was before the bayless and jr scuffle.
Yeah I also heard that. That was hilarious.

Re: Is anyone else feeling the Need... (The Sheed Thread)
Before the season I thought Sheed would take a month to get in game shape, and would basically play 5 minutes a game, making the occasional big 3 while bricking most of them. Even Sheed seems to have thought this, hence his Brian Scalabrine comment.
But he is active on defense, and he is good enough to be a go-to post scorer. I think our dilemma right now is whether he should anchor the second unit offense with his post game, or play a floor-spacing role for Melo and Amare.

Re: Is anyone else feeling the Need... (The Sheed Thread)
I've got a lot of good quotes from the other day. Rasheed is the Mo Phuckin man.
Rasheed Wallace's formula for the Knicks' second-teamers is pretty straightforward.
Lol..at trying to prevent the starters from getting more minutes
Giving Props to the Old School.....well the older school
I'm ready for it to get hellacious because I already thought we had reached hellacious mode. It's a scary thought for the rest of the league if we can get even more hellacious.
Rasheed Wallace's formula for the Knicks' second-teamers is pretty straightforward.
"We just try to outshine the first unit," Wallace said with a grin Sunday after the Knicks' bench contributed 33 points in an 88-76 win over the Pacers at Madison Square Garden.
"No, really, we're just trying to pick up where they left off," said Wallace, who had nine points, seven rebounds and a blocked shot in 16:35. "That was an intense game, coming off this hard road trip. They got us off to a good start, and it's up to us to add on to that. If we go out there and the lead gets chopped in half, or we're out there turning the ball over, we just know it's going to be more minutes for them, and that's something we definitely try to prevent."

"It was that tenacity. They were hard-nosed," Wallace said. "I was a huge Patrick Ewing fan; that's what made me sway this way. You had Oak, you had J-Starks . . . It was an all-around good team and they played hellified defense. That's what I liked about them
Giving Props to the Old School.....well the older school
so it's just a matter of time before everyone buys into it, and once we all do, it's going to be hellacious."

Did you hear, after the second yell?
"I can yell!! I can do what I want. I didn't direct that towards nobody!!"..
Sheed is priceless.

BALL DONT LIE
The league needs to stop nitpicking. First they fine the Spurs for resting their vets and now they have a target on sheed's head for saying the "Ball Don't Lie." That is ridiculous. Rasheed has been doing this for years and he's toned down the rest of his antics because of his age. I don't see how him saying his patent line has the Refs panties all in a bunch. They need to man up and stop being so sissified.

^^ agree
It was a newblood referee who gave Sheed both of the technicals. John Goble, has only been a referee for 6 seasons. Sheed has been in the league longer than the hothead ref trying to make a name for himself. Respect the vets.

1. It's not the first time this season he got the tech for screaming like an animal after the free throws.
2. It was Kid's Day or whatever the early Sunday games at MSG are called, they can't have old, crazy dudes running around scaring the kids.
